AGH SPE Student Chapter

AGH SPE Student Chapter We are one of over two hundred SPE student chapters that operate all over the world. Our student chapter is one of few which can show off such accomplishments.

EMW 2026: http://tt.spe.org/poland/events/13th-east-meets-west-congress-2025632 Since the beginning we make efforts to spread knowledge about oil and gas production and provide our members with information about the newest technologies that are not contained in university textbooks yet. We achieve our goals mainly by inviting professionals for meetings as our guests or as SPE Distinguished Lecturers, organizing an international congress ‘East meets West’ and publishing a trade magazine ‘YoungPetro’. Apart from those we enable students to take part in conferences organized by chapters from other countries. We also organize workshops, cooperate with oil and gas companies while organizing manifold events and help students choose the most interesting topic for their research as well. We managed to make two projects that are recognized almost all over the world: ‘East meets West’ congress and ‘Young Petro’ magazine. But we will not rest on our laurels, even contrarily – we want to develop these projects. We try to encourage students to work collectively for our university community and convince them that it will bring benefits both for them and for the community. Our dream is to contaminate students with our passion of searching for knowledge and to make them realize the importance of personal development, which is much easier to be done in the group of committed people.
