🌟Introducing our next Coach! Wojciech Pudełko🌟

👉Wojciech is a distinguished law graduate, having completed his studies with honors. His legal interests encompass international public and private law, as well as succession law (or inheritance law).
During his studies, he was active on the management boards of several academic research clubs and successfully completed a number of research grants. These grants focused on topics such as the history of Polish Supreme Court jurisprudence and the history of international law. He is a five-time recipient of the Jagiellonian University Rector's Scholarship for high academic achievement. While a student, he participated in two editions of the Vis Moot competition, as well as a moot court focusing on war and refugee law held in Ljubljana.
Currently, he is preparing for the entrance examination to the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution(Krajowa Szkoła Sądownictwa i Prokuratury), concurrently undertaking a six-month internship at a court. He also serves as one of the coaches for the Jagiellonian University's team competing in the Vis Moot.

👉Wojciech jest absolwentem prawa, które to studia ukończył z wyróżnieniem. Jego zainteresowania prawnicze obejmują zarówno publiczne, jak i prywatne prawo międzynarodowe, a także prawo spadkowe.
W czasie studiów działał w zarządach kilku kół naukowych, a także zrealizował szereg grantów badawczych dotyczących m.in. historii orzecznictwa polskiego Sądu Najwyższego oraz historii prawa międzynarodowego. Jest pięciokrotnym laureatem stypendium Rektora UJ za wysokie wyniki w nauce. Podczas studiów uczestniczył w dwóch edycjach konkursu Vis Moot, a także w moot courcie dotyczącym prawa wojennego i uchodźczego odbywającym się w Lublanie. Obecnie przygotowuje się do egzaminu wstępnego do Krajowej Szkoły Sądownictwa i Prokuratury (odbywając przy tym półroczny staż w sądzie) i pełni rolę jednego z trenerów drużyny Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego na konkursie Vis Moot.

🌟It is time to introduce our Coaches! Meet Ewa Wójcik!🌟

👉Ewa is a graduate of Law from Jagiellonian University, specializing in international public and private law, with a particular focus on EU law, as well as commercial law and arbitration.
Her professional experience includes positions at a boutique law firm, an international law firm, the European Parliament, and cooperation with a non-governmental organization. She is currently based in Brussels, undertaking an internship at the European Commission within the Foreign Subsidies Unit.
During her studies, Ewa participated in numerous moot court competitions, significantly developing her advocacy skills. These included the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, and the Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

👉Ewa jest absolwentką prawa Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, koncentrującą swoje zainteresowania wokół międzynarodowego prawa publicznego i prywatnego, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem prawa UE, a także na prawie handlowym i arbitrażu. Doświadczenie zawodowe zdobywała w butikowej i międzynarodowej kancelarii, Parlamencie Europejskim oraz współpracując z organizacją pozarządową. Aktualnie mieszka w Brukseli, odbywając staż w Komisji Europejskiej (Foreign Subsidies Unit). Podczas studiów Ewa brała udział w wielu konkursach typu moot court, co pozwoliło rozwinąć jej umiejętności oratorskie. Wśród nich znalazły się Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot oraz Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

🌟Last but not least, the final member of our team is Andrzej Gieroń!🌟

👉Andrzej is a fifth-year Law student at the Jagiellonian University. He is a seminar participant in the Department of Private Commercial Law. His academic interests focus on civil law, commercial and business law, as well as alternative dispute resolution methods. He actively participates in academic circles and currently serves as the Coordinator for Academic Affairs in the Commercial and Business Law Academic Circle. Additionally, he is a participant in student programs, a recipient of the Jagiellonian University Rector's Scholarship, and a winner and finalist of subject competitions. Andrzej gained experience in international competitions as a member of the Jagiellonian University team during the 32nd edition of the Vis Moot, as well as participating in the FDI Moot 2025, the final rounds of which took place in Boston. In his free time, he is interested in cinematography, broadly defined pop culture, and sports.

👉Andrzej jest studentem piątego roku Prawa na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Jest seminarzystą w Katedrze Prawa Gospodarczego Prywatnego. Jego zainteresowania naukowe koncentrują się na prawie
cywilnym, prawie gospodarczym i handlowym, a także alternatywnych metodach rozwiązywania sporów.
Aktywnie uczestniczy w kołach naukowych i obecnie pełni funkcję Koordynatora ds. Naukowych w Kole Naukowym Prawa Gospodarczego i Handlowego. Dodatkowo, jest uczestnikiem programów studenckich, stypendystą Rektora Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego oraz laureatem i finalistą konkursów przedmiotowych. Andrzej zdobywał doświadczenie w konkursach międzynarodowych jako członek drużyny Uniwersytetu
Jagiellońskiego podczas 32. edycji Vis Moot, a także uczestnicząc w FDI Moot 2025, którego rundy finałowe odbyły się w Bostonie.
W wolnych chwilach interesuje się kinematografią, szeroko pojętą popkulturą oraz sportem.

🌟Introducing another member of this year's team: Roman Melnyk 🌟

👉Roman is a fifth-year law student at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. His professional interests are international law, commercial law, and alternative dispute resolution methods. He developed his professional and organizational skills from the beginning of his studies, holding, among others, the positions of Vice President for Professional Development of ELSA Kraków and Vice President of the American Law Scientific Circle TBSP UJ, where he organized local, national, and international projects. Currently, he is doing an internship in an international law firm in the M&A department. He took an active part in international mediation competitions Business Mediation Competition Amsterdam 2024 and IBA – VIAC CDRC Mediation & Negotiation Competition Vienna 2024 as a member of the Jagiellonian University team. He fluently speaks 4 languages, and in his free time, he likes to run and swim. Privately, he is interested in history and cinematography.

👉Roman jest studentem V roku prawa na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim w Krakowie. Jego zainteresowania zawodowe to prawo międzynarodowe, prawo handlowe oraz alternatywne metody rozwiązywania sporów.
Swoje umiejętności zawodowe oraz organizacyjne rozwijał od początku studiów, obejmując m.in. stanowiska Wiceprezesa ds. Rozwoju Zawodowego ELSA Kraków oraz Wiceprezesa Koła Naukowego Prawa Amerykańskiego TBSP UJ, gdzie organizował projekty lokalne, ogólnopolskie oraz międzynarodowe. Aktualnie odbywa praktyki w międzynarodowej kancelarii w dziale M&A. Brał czynny udział w międzynarodowych konkursach mediacyjnych Business Mediation Competition Amsterdam 2024 oraz IBA – VIAC CDRC Mediation & Negotiation Competition Vienna 2024 jako członek drużyny
Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego.
Swobodnie posługuje się 4 językami, a w wolnym czasie lubi biegać i pływać. Prywatnie interesuje się historią oraz kinematografią.

🌟Get to know Dominik Smołka, another member of our team!🌟

👉Dominik is a fourth-year law student at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. His academic interests focus on private and public international law, labor law, and dispute resolution. He received an honorable mention while representing the Jagiellonian University at the 19th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition in Paris, and he is also a recipient of the Rector's Scholarship for academic performance. He develops his legal competencies through active involvement in student organizations and practice in a law firm. Dominik is fluent in English. Besides law, he is also interested in sociology, film, and music.

👉Dominik jest studentem czwartego roku prawa na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim w Krakowie. Jego zainteresowania naukowe koncentrują się na prawie międzynarodowym prywatnym i publicznym, prawie pracy oraz rozwiązywaniu sporów. Otrzymał wyróżnienie, reprezentując Uniwersytet
Jagielloński podczas 19. Międzynarodowego Konkursu Mediacji Gospodarczej ICC w Paryżu, a także jest laureatem Stypendium Rektora za wyniki w nauce. Swoje kompetencje prawnicze rozwija poprzez aktywną działalność w organizacjach studenckich oraz praktykę w kancelarii prawnej. Dominik biegle posługuje się językiem angielskim.
Poza prawem interesuje się również socjologią, filmem i muzyką.

🌟Continuing our team introductions. We are pleased to present Natalia Czesak! 🌟

👉Natalia is a fifth-year law student at the Jagiellonian University. Her academic interests include intellectual property law, as well as arbitration and civil procedure. For over two years, she gained experience in a law firm, honing her legal writing skills. Since her first year, she has been involved in the activities of student associations and academic circles, having co-organized 27 projects. She is currently studying in Porto as part of the Erasmus program. Beyond her legal activities, Natalia is interested in psychology and pharmacology, and in her free time, she likes to discover new places and learn foreign languages.

👉Natalia jest studentką piątego roku prawa na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Jej zainteresowania naukowe obejmują prawo własności intelektualnej, a także arbitraż i postępowanie cywilne. Przez ponad dwa lata zdobywała doświadczenie w kancelarii prawnej, szlifując umiejętności prawniczego pisania. Od pierwszego roku angażuje się w działalność stowarzyszeń studenckich i kół naukowych, mając na koncie współorganizację 27 projektów. Obecnie studiuje w Porto w ramach programu Erasmus.
Poza działalnością prawniczą Natalia interesuje się psychologią i farmakologią, a w wolnym czasie lubi odkrywać nowe miejsca i uczyć się języków obcych.

🌟Introducing another member of this year's team: Bartosz Witczak 🌟

👉Bartosz is a fifth-year law student at the Jagiellonian University. His academic interests include civil procedure law, commercial law, and sports law. During his studies, he received the Jagiellonian University Rector's academic scholarship three times, also becoming a winner of the subject competition in commercial and business law. For two years, he has also been gaining practical experience in a law firm, where he has the opportunity to work, among other things, on arbitration proceedings conducted in sports law cases.
He is fluent in English.
His non-legal passions include football and basketball

👉Bartosz jest studentem piątego roku prawa na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Jego zainteresowania naukowe obejmują prawo cywilne procesowe, prawo handlowe i prawo sportowe. W czasie studiów trzykrotnie otrzymywał stypendium naukowe Rektora Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, zostając także laureatem przedmiotowego konkursu z prawa gospodarczego i handlowego. Od dwóch lat zdobywa również doświadczenie praktyczne w kancelarii adwokackiej, gdzie ma okazję pracować między innymi przy postępowaniach arbitrażowych prowadzonych w sprawach z zakresu prawa sportowego.
Biegle posługuje się językiem angielskim.
W obrębie jego poza prawniczych pasji znajdują się piłka nożna oraz koszykówka.

🌟Get to know Wiktor Jędrzejewski, another member of our team!🌟

👉Wiktor is a fourth-year law student at the Jagiellonian University. His academic interests focus on civil law and alternative dispute resolution methods. Candidate for the LL.M. title in American law (The Catholic University of America), graduate of the International Business and Trade Summer Law Program and the School of American Law, co-organized by The Catholic University of America. Scholarship recipient of the KKG Law Firm and the Rector of the Jagiellonian University. As a member of the Civil Law Academic Circle, he conducted classes for students. He represented the Jagiellonian University at the investment arbitration competition in Boston. He also completed an internship at the Civil Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C. He is interested in sports and belles-lettres.

👉Wiktor jest studentem czwartego roku prawa na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Jego zainteresowania naukowe koncentrują się na prawie cywilnym oraz alternatywnych metodach rozwiązywania sporów. Kandydat do tytułu LL.M. w zakresie prawa amerykańskiego (The Catholic University of America), absolwent International Business and Trade Summer Law Program oraz Szkoły Prawa Amerykańskiego, współorganizowanych przez The Catholic University of America. Stypendysta Kancelarii KKG oraz Rektora Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Jako członek Koła Naukowego Prawa Cywilnego prowadził
zajęcia dla studentów. Reprezentował Uniwersytet Jagielloński na konkursie z arbitrażu inwestycyjnego w Bostonie. Odbył także staż w Wydziale Cywilnym Superior Court of the District of Columbia w Waszyngtonie.

👉Kacper is a fifth-year law student at the Jagiellonian University. His interests include financial law, commercial law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Kacper honed his public speaking skills, taking part in the 22nd edition of the Vis East Moot competition. Two years ago, he received an honorable mention at the 19th ICC International Mediation Competition organized by the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. He is also a recipient of the Jagiellonian University Rector's Scholarship. He is also the co-author of an expert opinion for the draft amendment to the Penal Code. He speaks English and German.

👉Kacper jest studentem piątego roku prawa na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Jego zainteresowania obejmują prawo finansowe, prawo gospodarcze oraz alternatywne metody rozwiązywania sporów (ADR).
Kacper doskonalił swoje umiejętności wystąpień publicznych, biorąc udział w 22. edycji konkursu Vis East Moot. Dwa lata temu otrzymał wyróżnienie w 19. Międzynarodowym Konkursie Mediacyjnym ICC organizowanym przez Międzynarodową Izbę Handlową w Paryżu. Jest stypendystą Rektora Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, a także współautorem ekspertyzy do projektu nowelizacji Kodeksu karnego.
Posługuje się językiem angielskim i niemieckim.

It’s Time to meet 2025/26 Jagiellonian University Vis Moot Team members!

🌟Meet Marta Michałkiewicz 🌟

👉Marta is a fifth-year law student. Her legal interests are primarily focused on Private International Law and arbitration-both commercial and investment.
She is actively engaged in numerous Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiatives, ranging from the ICC Mediation Competition in Paris and investment arbitration in Boston, to her participation in last year's 32nd edition of the commercial arbitration moot court in Vienna. She has completed two schools of foreign law: American and German.
Currently, she is pursuing her LL.M. at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Marta has gained practical experience through internships at both a state institution and a law firm.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and is a regular runner.

👉Marta jest studentką piątego roku Prawa. Jej prawne zainteresowania skupione są w szczególności na prawie prywatnym międzynarodowym i arbitrażu - zarówno handlowym, jak i inwestycyjnym. Jest zaangażowana w liczne inicjatywy z zakresu Alternatywnych Metod Rozwiązywania Sporów, poczynając od konkursu mediacyjnego ICC w Paryżu, arbitrażu inwestycyjnego w Bostonie,
a skończywszy na zeszłorocznej, 32. edycji konkursu typu moot court z arbitrażu handlowego w Wiedniu. Ukończyła dwie szkoły prawa obcego -amerykańską i niemiecką. On October 31, our JU Vis Moot Team had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Kaja Zaleska-Korziuk, an advocate and academic specializing in Third-Party Funding (TPF). Dr. Zaleska-Korziuk is a recognized expert in this field, with her research focusing on the legal nature and practical issues of dispute financing.

This productive session was invaluable, providing us with practical knowledge and a technical perspective on complex TPF issues.

It is with great pride that we present this year's Jagiellonian University Team for the 33rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot!

We are a dedicated group of law students ready to tackle one of the most challenging academic competitions in the world. Our participation in the Vis Moot is an academic honour, intense journey of legal and linguistic training and a great pleasure.

Over the coming months, we will be sharing updates on our progress, meetings with mentors, practice rounds, and the final intensive push on our arguments. Wish us luck!
