What happens when Erasmus+ brings students from three countries together? 🌍

This May, our Grade 7 students took part in an unforgettable Erasmus+ exchange in Zaragoza, hosted by Colegio El Pilar Maristas. There, they joined students from Orchidea Hungarian-English Bilingual School, creating a truly international learning experience with participants from Poland, Spain, and Hungary.

Throughout the week, students attended lessons, worked on projects focused on sustainable cities and online safety, and collaborated in multicultural teams. They improved their language skills, built confidence, and learned how to work together across cultures.

Beyond the classroom, students explored Zaragoza, shared traditions, presented their work, and discovered the cultures and cuisines of Spain, Hungary, and Poland. Friendly football matches, group activities, and time spent together helped create new friendships and unforgettable memories.

More than just a trip, this Erasmus+ exchange was an opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together while experiencing the true spirit of European cooperation.

A new chapter begins ✨

We are pleased to inform that during the Family Picnic held on May 29, 2026, we officially unveiled our school's new logo.

The redesign process began with a search for a simple symbol - one which would encompass the values and aspirations of our school community, but also one which could easily blend into a variety of visual environments. There are some big tasks for this small visual companion: to represent our students and the whole team everywhere, from official documents to school hoodies. To bring a sense of unity to the community. To hint at the larger concepts which unite the hundreds of individuals who form CIS.

Over several months, we explored a wide range of iterations of this symbol, experimenting with different balances between complexity and simplicity, organic forms and geometric structure. Ultimately, we arrived at the concept of three circles:

🔴 A solid red circle representing unity, warmth, and openness.
⚫ A black globe symbolising global citizenship and a forward-looking mindset.
🟢 A hand-drawn green circle reflecting continuous growth, learning, and development.

Together, these elements tell the story of a community that learns, evolves, and grows together while remaining connected to the wider world.

We would like to sincerely thank our teacher, Morgan, the creator of CIS's new visual identity, for his creativity, dedication, and for designing a visual identity that will represent our community for years to come.

While our logo has changed, the values that define Cracow International School remain the same.

Starting a new school journey becomes much easier when the environment already feels familiar. 🌱

Last week, our Year 1 students, as well as children from the Little Steps kindergarten, took part in demonstration lessons at our Primary School.

The meetings were designed to help future students gradually adapt to their new school environment before the beginning of the academic year. During the lessons, children had the opportunity to explore the classrooms, participate in activities led by our teachers, and experience what everyday learning at CIS looks like.

These moments are an important part of building confidence, curiosity, and a sense of comfort before starting Primary School.

We hope the experience helped the children feel more confident and excited about the next stage of their educational journey. 💙
