PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROJECT 🌍

This week, we welcomed our international partners to Cracow International School as we continue working together on our Erasmus+ project, “Tracing Resources: From Jakob Fugger into the Future.”

The project connects schools across Europe through history, sustainability and collaboration. By exploring the historic network of trade and resources, students will have the opportunity to look at how the past shaped our world- and consider how we can approach today’s challenges more sustainably.

We’re excited to develop this project together and create new opportunities for our students to learn from different perspectives, connect with their peers across Europe and explore important questions about the future.

RUNNING FOR A PURPOSE 💚

We are proud to once again be part of the Poland Business Run- this year not only as participants, but also as sponsors of the event.

Poland Business Run is a charity relay that brings people together through sport, teamwork and a shared goal: helping people with physical disabilities and those recovering after amputations or mastectomies return to everyday life.

Since 2012, the initiative has supported more than 1,000 people, showing how a community coming together can create a real and lasting impact.

For us, taking part was a simple way to support a meaningful cause, spend time together and contribute to something bigger than the race itself.

We’re proud to have been part of it, and grateful to everyone who helped make this possible.

At CIS, learning doesn’t stop when you become a teacher. Our Teacher Training sessions are a chance to step away from the everyday routine, explore new ideas and share the experiences that make us better at what we do.

Some sessions focus on teaching practice, while others give us time to work on communication, get to know new team members and simply spend time together.
Because a great school is built by people who support, inspire and learn from one another✨

And that’s what Teacher Training is really about.

Learning from each other – across schools and borders 🌍

As an international school, we believe that learning is not only for our students. It is equally important for us as educators and as a school community.

That is why job shadowing, school visits, classroom observations, and joint training with other schools and educational institutions are an important part of our professional development.

They give our teachers and staff the opportunity to step into another educational environment, observe different approaches in practice, exchange experiences, and bring new perspectives back to our own classrooms.

For our school, this means:
🔹 Learning from different educational approaches and discovering how other schools respond to similar challenges.
🔹 Sharing good practices – exchanging ideas, methods, and experiences that can inspire both sides.
🔹 Growing professionally – learning through observation, conversation, reflection, and collaboration with other educators.
🔹 Strengthening our international perspective – understanding education in different cultural and educational contexts is an essential part of who we are as an international school.
🔹 Building meaningful partnerships – creating connections between schools and educators that can grow into long-term collaboration and shared initiatives.

Being an international school is not only about bringing different cultures together under one roof. It is also about staying curious, looking beyond our own classrooms, and continuously learning from the wider educational community.

☀️ Summer Camps Week 4: one last week of summer fun!

And just like that, we’ve wrapped up the final week of our Summer Camps! 💚

Week 4 was full of movement, creativity and plenty of time spent outdoors. Our campers played sports, enjoyed games on the full-size pitch, worked on creative projects and headed out for a visit to the Botanical Garden. 🌿

From basketball and outdoor games to hands-on activities and exploring the garden, each day brought something a little different. Most importantly, there was plenty of time to play, connect, laugh and simply enjoy being together.

Five active, sunny days brought Week 4 to a close — and we have plenty of moments from this summer still to share! ☀️💚
