Why gradual separation works?

That's why, at Wawel International Preschool, we believe that a successful adaptation doesn't happen overnight. It happens one small step at a time.
Our adaptation process is based on gradual separation. Instead of expecting children to spend a full day away from their parents immediately, we help them build confidence little by little. As they become familiar with their teachers, classmates, and daily routines, their time at preschool naturally increases.
Research in child development shows that this gentle approach helps children develop emotional security and independence. When children experience consistent routines and warm support, they begin to understand an important message: ""This is a safe place, and my parent will always come back.""
