Well, ”ps” vs. “bz” may make a huge difference!

Yesterday I asked the shop assistant where I can get the 'serek na tost Hawaii'. She looked perplexed.

My wife just explained to me that hardly anyone in Poland has ever heard of the 'Hawaiian toast' (have you?).

Plus 'serek' is more like cream cheese and the proper name for cheese is 'ser'.

And Hawaiian toast, we've just found out, seems to be a typical German dish :O

If you don't want to get a parking ticket when parking in Kraków, make sure you don't choose Częstochowa as the location in the parking app, like I just did. This time, my typical "I don't speak Polish" excuse didn't work with the parking guy.
