We invite you to Doctoral Day on 13 May 2026, taking place from 10:00 to 11:30 in room 1.05 (building D-3). The event will be held in English.

✨️ The event is divided into two parts:

🧠 My PhD Story (10:00–10:45)

Short talks by PhD candidates and one recently graduated researcher, sharing their scientific journeys, challenges, and discoveries.

🔬 Science Networking Mixer (10:45–11:30)

An open networking session where you can talk directly with doctoral researchers, ask questions about their work, and explore potential collaborations. Our PhD researchers will be seated at individual tables, and participants are invited to join the table that interests them most. Through short, informal conversations, you can quickly learn as much as possible about their research, daily work, and PhD experience.

👩‍🔬 Meet the team:

➡️ Dr. Dagmara Stasiowska
Defended her PhD on biocybernetic modelling of bee colonies under stress conditions related to spaceflight in March 2025. She also contributed to the MXene in LEO experiment developed at AGH and conducted during Poland’s first scientific mission to the ISS.

➡️Agnieszka Talik (PhD candidate)
Her research focuses on developing sustainable composites from algae and regolith using ISRU principles, with applications in bioplastic production and carbon dioxide sequestration for life support systems.

➡️Dr. Piotr Seiko Yamaguchi
Specializes in automation and robotics for human spaceflight missions, including technologies supporting operations on the ISS and future lunar exploration. He develops robotic systems such as rovers and manipulators designed to assist astronauts and improve the safety and efficiency of space missions.

➡️Piotr Pichór (PhD candidate)
Develops satellite-based water quality forecasting and modelling systems using Earth observation data.

📢 Drodzy Doktoranci Szkoły Doktorskiej AGH!
W imieniu Prof. dr hab. Anety Magdziarz informujemy o ofercie zagranicznego stażu naukowego dla doktorantów w ramach projektu, którego koordynatorem jest Pani Profesor (strona internetowa projektu: https://cupola-eu.com/).
🌎 Miejsce realizacji stażu: Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) w Chinach w następującym wymiarze:
- 3 miesiące dla jednej osoby
lub
- 1 + 2 miesiące dla dwóch osób, przy czym minimalny czas trwania stażu dla jednej osoby wynosi 1 miesiąc (31 dni).
Staż realizowany będzie w ramach zadania pt. „Process modelling and simulation” i/lub "Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)” powinien obejmować jeden z następujących obszarów badawczych:
➡️ zastosowanie Aspen Plus do modelowania procesów badanych w ramach realizacji projektu w tym: sortowanie i wstępne przygotowanie surowców, piroliza/zgazowanie, itd.
➡️ modelowanie numeryczne procesu pirolizy i/lub zgazowania plastikowych odpadów morskich,
➡️ odzysk ciepła oraz integracja procesu z odnawialnymi źródłami energii (np. z energią słoneczną i wiatrową),
➡️ technologie wychwytywania CO₂ (carbon capture) w celu poprawy efektywności energetycznej procesu oraz zapewnienia neutralności klimatycznej.

📅 Termin realizacji stażu: do listopada 2026 r.
W ramach stażu doktorant ma zapewnione:
✈️ bilet lotniczy, 🛏️ zakwaterowanie (hotel), 💵diety, koszty wizowe (wydatki zgodnie z wytycznymi Centrum Spraw Międzynarodowych AGH).
✅ Obowiązki doktoranta:
- pełne zaangażowanie w realizację projektu w okresie stażu (doktorant nie może być w tym czasie zaangażowany w realizację innego projektu Horyzont Europa),
- realizacja powierzonych zadań,
- godne reprezentowanie AGH podczas pobytu zagranicznego,
- rozliczenie wyjazdu po powrocie, zgodnie z zasadami obowiązującymi w AGH i Horyzont Europa,
- przygotowanie manuskryptu publikacji naukowej ww. obszarze.

🧑‍🏫 "From Control Theory to Artificial Intelligence: Adaptive Algorithms in Computer Networks" conducted by Professor Albert Banchs.
📅 December 8, 2025 -December 12, 2025, for 20 hours.

Passing the subject will allow you to include it in the Individual Education Plan and obtain 2 ECTS points in the scope of scientific discipline: Information and Communication Technology and receive a Certificate of Participation.
