❓️What are dynamic and regular groups?

Dynamic groups are ideal for Slavic speakers because the learning pace is faster (one level is divided into two sublevels: A1.1 and A1.2).

Regular groups have a normal learning pace (one level is divided into three sublevels: for example A1.1, A1.2, and A1.3).

❓️Co to są grupy dynamiczne i zwykłe?

Grupy dynamiczne są idealne dla Słowian, bo tempo nauki jest szybsze (jeden poziom dzieli się na dwa podpoziomy: A1.1 i A1.2).

Grupy zwykłe to grupy z normalnym tempem nauki (jeden poziom dzieli się na trzy podpoziomy: na przykład A1.1, A1.2 i A1.3).

Why does the St. Mary’s Trumpet Call suddenly stop, as if it’s not played to the end? What ghosts haunt Stolarska Street, and where exactly? Is it possible to meet friendly ghosts in Kraków? Why does a knife hang in the Cloth Hall? Where is the bar that the Kraków artistic bohemia used to hang out in?

Today we went to an outdoor workshop (finally, it’s warm in Kraków!) to discover the secrets of various places we often pass by while living in Kraków.

The pair who completed all the tasks the fastest won tickets to the Obwarzanek Museum!

Dlaczego hejnał mariacki nagle się urywa, jakby nie był zagrany do końca? Jakie duchy straszą na ulicy Stolarskiej i gdzie dokładnie? Czy w Krakowie można spotkać duchy, które są miłe? Dlaczego w Sukiennicach wisi nóż? Gdzie znajduje się bar, do którego chodziła krakowska bohema artystyczna?

Dzisiaj wybraliśmy się na warsztaty plenerowe (w końcu zrobiło się ciepło w Krakowie!), żeby poznać tajemnice różnych miejsc, które często mijamy, żyjąc w Krakowie.

Para, która najszybciej zrobiła wszystkie zadania, dostała w nagrodę bilety do Muzeum Obwarzanka!

You’re talking to someone in Polish, but you don’t understand many important words. What should you do then?

…You take out your phone and use, for example, Google Translate or ChatGPT to translate what you want to say and understand what the other person wants to tell you.

When you're having a conversation in a foreign language, it’s not just about how much you can say, but also — and maybe most importantly — whether you can handle a difficult situation.

Preparing for such situations really helps reduce stress.

Visualize a situation in which you don’t understand what someone is saying to you and think about what you can do.

First of all, don’t panic. Various techniques can help reduce stress. Remember that high stress can make your mind go blank and cause you to freeze up completely.

Second, don’t be ashamed of using different apps to translate what you want to say. In most real-life communication situations, the goal is to get something done or learn something important. Don’t treat every interaction in Polish as a test of your language skills. Fluency and full ease in conversation will come with time. Right now, the most important thing is to buy a ticket, deal with some paperwork at the office, or have a nice time with your girlfriend’s mom. People who tend to constantly criticize themselves often make slower progress in language learning.

Third, in addition to various apps, you also have many analog tools. You can draw something, use body language, make a sound, give synonyms of the word you can’t remember, or describe it with a definition.
