👉 iść = to go / to walk — irregular verb
We use it for going somewhere now, once, or on a specific occasion.

👉 chodzić = to go regularly / to attend / to walk — regular verb
We use it for habits, repeated actions, or places we regularly attend.

📅 Jutro idę do dentysty.
➡️ Tomorrow I’m going to the dentist.

💼 Dzisiaj idę do pracy pieszo, bo mam dużo czasu.
➡️ Today I’m walking to work because I have plenty of time.

🎓 Chodzę na zajęcia z polskiego.
➡️ I attend Polish classes.

🏋️ Chodzę regularnie na siłownię.
➡️ I go to the gym regularly.

☕ Chodzę do tej kawiarni często.
➡️ I often go to this café.

📌 Easy rule:
iść = going somewhere now / one specific time 🚶
chodzić = going regularly / as a habit 🔄

One tiny word. So difficult 😅
Są = they are, but that’s just the beginning.

You’ll hear it all the time:
• Oni są w domu. – They are at home.
• Klucze są na stole. – The keys are on the table.
• Czy są bilety? – Are there any tickets?
• Czy są jeszcze pączki? – Are there any doughnuts left?
• Tutaj są toalety. – The toilets are here.

The pronunciation can be tricky at first, but with the right practice it becomes much easier. 😊

„Na” in Polish is SO confusing for foreigners. 😅 But here’s one rule that fixes so much:
We use „na” for activities. That’s it. That’s the trick. ✨
Look:
🍦 Idę na lody → I’m going for ice cream
🚶 Idę na spacer → I’m going for a walk
🛍️ Idę na zakupy → I’m going shopping
🧘 Idę na jogę → I’m going to yoga
🍺 Idę na piwo → I’m going for a beer
☕ Idę na kawę → I’m going for coffee
🎬 Idę na film → I’m going to a movie

Voilà! Once it clicks, it clicks. 💡

I say: 🇵🇱 „Dziękuję za lekcję!” → 🇬🇧 „Thank you for the lesson!”
Students answer: 🇵🇱 „Proszę!” → 🇬🇧 „You’re welcome!”
Wrong! 🚫 A lesson benefits BOTH of us 🤝 — so I should get thanked back too, not „you’re welcome”!

This is why responding to „dziękuję” in Polish is trickier than it looks 👇
✅ 🇵🇱 Proszę → 🇬🇧 You’re welcome (one-sided favor)
✅ 🇵🇱 Nie ma za co → 🇬🇧 No need to thank me
✅ 🇵🇱 Dziękuję! → 🇬🇧 Thank you (right back)! — the MOST popular one when it’s mutual 😄

🛍️ Even at a shop: you say „dziękuję,” the cashier says „dziękuję” back. Totally normal here!
⚠️ Timing matters — say the wrong one and it can sound off. 🚫
