Case of scientific publication in the Web of Science-indexed journals with an impact factor (SCIE) in the field of medical sciences on the atrial fibrillation treatment

We have concluded an agreement with the author to publish an article in the Web of Science-indexed journal with an impact factor.

An article on medicine, and it is difficult to work with such a one, since some journals distinguish up to 7 types of articles. Each type has its own requirements, starting from the number of words in the abstract and article itself, ending with a list of references. Everyone understood that there was a lot of work to be done.

First of all, our specialists analyzed the article and we sent the author comments that needed to be revised before submitting the article to the journal. After the author’s improvements, the article was translated into English and edited to meet all the requirements of the first journal, which was agreed with the author, but, unfortunately, we failed and publication was rejected.

After numerous negotiations with the editors of various journals, we decided to submit an article to the Heart Surgery Forum and agreed with the editor on an accelerated review. Within a month, the article was reviewed, and we received positive comments from reviewers. The author finalized the article and it was re-submitted for consideration. As a result, the article was accepted and published in August 2022. From the moment of submission of the article to the moment of publication, only 3 months have passed. This is a record short time for the journals of this level.

Case of publication of a scientific article in the journal of the 1st quartile (Q1)

We are sharing with you one of our cases on the publication of a scientific article in the 1st quartile (Q1) Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journal. Main subject area – technical education.

Our project manager Anna tells:

– Publication in the 1st quartile (Q1) Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journal is a long and time-consuming process. When I receive projects with a request for publication in Q1 journals, I always have a shadow of a little stress.

First, after receiving the project into work, we discussed with the author an action plan for a successful publication and began to implement it. To begin with, we selected and agreed on the most suitable journal Computer Applications in Engineering Education (USA, publisher John Wiley & Sons, percentiles 75-86 in Scopus for 2022). In parallel, a specialist in the field of computer technology made an analysis of the article. The conclusions were positive. The article at this stage required minimal revision. The author made all the requested improvements to the article as soon as possible, which could not but please. After that, our editor designed the article to meet all the requirements of the journal and I made a submission. The review process has lasted almost 4 months.

We received the approval of the reviewers, but first the article had to be finalized. As a result, we all had to polish the article several more times. Since there were new comments every time, but thanks to the well-coordinated work of managers, editors, translators and the author himself, we fulfilled all the requirements of the reviewers and the editorial board of the journal quickly and efficiently, and in consequence we received the final publication: https://doi.org/10.1002/cae.22560
