OEM* or not OEM? 🧐🔍
That is one of the most common questions that people, including B737 type-rated pilots, are asking when they look at the parts we manufacture and install on our flight simulators. And when we recently introduced our brand new Throttle Stand (aka Throttle Quadrant), these questions have been asked a hundred of times again! 👍💪
For those of you who wonder "why does it take so long to build a sim?" or "why isn't it available for a few pennies at a grocery around the corner", would you believe that development of this product usually takes between 10 and 12 months? 😱And there is a team of at least 3 to 4 highly experienced engineers behind it, who are working on every single aspect of it. Fom defining the main objectives, designing all mechanisms, drawing 2D plans and creating (working!) 3D models, to building first prototype units, testing them in real life, redefining wrong assumptions, implementing modifications and eventually building the ultimate version to be installed on our simulators... Multiply this by the number of all panels and controls in the cockpit and this shall give you a realistic picture of what designing and manufacturing flight simulators really is! ✈✈✈
After a very long development and testing process, we are happy to finally and officially announce that all of our commercial B737 Turnkey Flight Simulators are now available with this new, state-of-the-art, heavy-duty throttle stand which reproduces 100% of the OEM unit's functionality, look and feel. And this is now a standard part on all of our EASA-approved FNPTII MCC devices for certified pilot training! 📜👮✈️
