We secured over PLN 670,000 to support research and international cooperation! 🔬

Thanks to the Metropolitan Science Support Fund, our researchers carried out 16 projects, supporting early-career scientists and collaborating with world-renowned experts from India, Ireland, and the United States. 🌍

This is another step towards strengthening our University's international position and enhancing the region's research potential. We would like to thank the Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolis for supporting science and innovation! 🤝

The 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Forum in Katowice has come to an end. 👏🏻

Behind us is an intensive week of meetings, discussions, conferences, workshops, project work, and integration. Together, we opened the BAUHAUS4EU Green Campus, discussed regional transformation and the role of universities in building a sustainable Europe, worked within work packages, exchanged experiences, and strengthened relationships between the Alliance’s partner universities. 🏛️ 🇪🇺

We would like to thank all participants, speakers, panellists, moderators, representatives of partner universities, and everyone involved in organising the event. 🙌🏻

We are happy that we could host the BAUHAUS4EU community at the University of Economics in Katowice. We hope this time was full of inspiration, meaningful conversations, and ideas that will be developed in the Alliance’s future activities. 🌍

A colourful, international and positive-energy-filled summary of the 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Forum! 🌍

Yesterday evening, the Global Village took place - an event that brought this year’s 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Forum to a unique and beautiful close.

Participants from different countries prepared stands presenting elements of their cultures: traditional delicacies, costumes, music, souvenirs and stories about their countries. Each stand was different, as each country told its story uniquely.

The Global Village became a symbolic closing of the BAUHAUS4EU Forum - a space for meeting, integration and exchanging experiences in an international atmosphere.

Thank you to all participants for your presence, positive energy, and the time we shared. 💙

We concluded the second day of the 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Alliance Forum with a memorable evening in the unique setting of the Wilson Shaft Gallery. ✨

The gala dinner brought together Forum participants, representatives of partner universities, and guests from across Europe, creating an opportunity for meaningful conversations, the exchange of experiences, and relationship-building within the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼🌍
Guests were welcomed by the Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice, Prof. Celina M. Olszak, and the Vice-Rector for Education and International Cooperation, Prof. Wojciech Dyduch. 🎓

During the ceremony, representatives of the partner universities were presented with commemorative B4EU statuettes inspired by the Alliance’s logo and the newly unveiled mural. The statuettes were designed and handcrafted by Silesian artist Radosław Jakubczyk. They symbolize the shared vision, collaboration, and future of the European university being built within the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance. 🏆

The evening was enriched by a performance from the “Silesianie” Song and Dance Ensemble, which introduced participants to the richness of Silesian culture and traditions. 💃🕺

Our international guests also had the opportunity to take part in mini dance workshops led by members of the “Silesianie” ensemble, bringing participants together across borders, languages, and cultures. ❤️

It was an evening filled with inspiring encounters, new connections, and positive energy that will accompany us throughout the coming days of the Forum. ✨

The BAUHAUS4EU Green Campus is officially open! 🌿 🌱
Today, at the University of Economics in Katowice, we began the 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Forum with the opening of a new space on our campus. 🏛️🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

The Green Campus was created as a place for meetings, integration, and relaxation, but also as a symbol of the values close to the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance: cooperation, openness, sustainable development, and care for the space in which we learn, work, and build relationships. 💚

It is a space intended to serve the academic community and our guests - encouraging conversation, the exchange of experiences, and the joint creation of a good place for studying and cooperation. 🙌🏻

We are delighted to begin the BAUHAUS4EU Forum in Katowice right here. 👏🏻

Today, the BIP programme “Future Skills for Beautiful & Sustainable Regions”, held as part of the 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Forum, has started at ! 🌍✨

Students from all partner universities of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance are already here with us in Katowice and have begun project work in international, interdisciplinary teams. 📍🎓

Ahead of them are intensive days full of workshops, discussions, exchange of experiences, and joint efforts to develop solutions for more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive regions. Inspired by the principles of the New European Bauhaus, the programme shows how sustainability, aesthetics, and social inclusion can be combined when thinking about the future of Europe. 🤝🌱
