Another amazing session is over!

It started with a wonderful speech by Carol Brown, who gave an in-depth study of thecondition of modern civilization and explain the symbolic of how deep rooting is important to a bountiful harvest.

Logan McKinney introduced us to the music of composers from marginalized communities.
Andrew Paney was our guide for writing dictation sequences.
Sarah Reyes presented us, with her students Nikitha and Nischith, an Indian classical music, which speaks of the identity and heritage of each child.

We have many refliksions ... and that's not all that awaits us.

Before we start next night session, let us summarize thirth session of the Symposium.

Lau Joyce reminded us how great could be music theory lesson.
John Goulter shared the results of his research.
Maurizio Bovero and Teresa Sappa gave us opprtunity to sing italian folk songs and dance a tarantella.
Aoife Hiney and Ines Matos opened an importand disscussion about difficulties in adapatacion of relative solfa in countries which are not familiar with this method.

Now, we would like to share with you a poem:

The first Keynote Speaker, Anna Waluga is with us.
We start next day of the Jubilee Symposium!

We finished another session. Was as interesting as the previous ones.

Mary Ellen Junda inspired us with a great work of her and the Earthtones Vocal Ensemble.
Tomas Kite shared with us the great analise of the Antal Molnar Classic Canons.
Jennifer Gillan showed us, how to teach harmony, doing it with passion, joy and fun.
Victor Lozada told us about using folk music to connect language-based and music-based literacies.

It was very good session!

But now - have a good day or good night ;-)

The second session is over. We talked about Polish folk music.

Paweł Płoskoń introduced us to hurdy - gurdy, a traditional folk instrument.
Kinga Jendrysik presented the richness of Polish literature dedicated to the musical education of children.
Krzysztof Dudzik told the story of one folk song, showing the changes it has undergone over the years.
Dominika Lenska concluded the session with a lecture on the variability of Polish children's folk songs.

We have ended the first session of the Symposium.

Eva Floyd introduced us to the idea of Jerome Bruner's "Spiral Curriculum", adapting it to the choral warm-up.

Donna Menhart shared the achievements of her original project: Open Educational Resources.

The session ended with an interesting lecture by Sarah Burns, who talked about the early years of the Kodály Method in the United States.

A great start!
