ENG:

The International American School of Warsaw (IAS) takes pride in being
the first private American school of the post-communist period. Founded in 1989, it is unique among Polish schools for being fully
accredited by each of the highly-reputed accrediting bodies:
International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), American Diploma (Cognia), the Polish Ministry of Education
(MEN). Children at IAS

are encouraged to ask questions and solve problems
through creative dialogue. They learn to plan, organize and solve
problems productively, and the IAS curriculum is designed to meet
these needs. To implement our educational goals, IAS recruits professional teachers
directly from the United States, Great Britain and other
English-speaking countries. At IAS teachers are also friends and
mentors to their students, helping to satisfy their needs, especially
the need to belong. Our message is "we care" and it is the foundation
of quality education at IAS. Our student newspaper the "IAS Times" is published monthly. Other
extracurricular opportunities include participating in hospice
programs with the Warsaw Voluntary Mission; art contests; field trips;
essay, art and oratory competitions, and music recitals. IAS also
offers mandatory physical education classes in swimming, soccer,
tennis and fitness exercises. School lunch is prepared fresh each day,
and highlights the international character of our student body. Full
service transportation is available to and from school on our fleet of
private buses. The safety and health of our students is paramount at
IAS. Therefore, the school buildings are monitored around the clock by
trained security guards. A doctor or nurse is on duty every day as
well, and a psychologist/counselor is also present. Tuition at IAS is
comparatively less than other international schools without
compromising quality. PL:

International American School of Warsaw (I.A.S.) jest dumna z bycia
pierwszą prywatną amerykańską szkołą w postkomunistycznej historii
Polski. Założona w roku 1989, od początku łączyła polski i
amerykańskie systemy nauczania. Obecnie, jako jedyna szkoła prywatna
posiada akredytację prestiżowych instytucji akredytacyjnych:

Narodowej. Jesteśmy również oficjalnie autoryzowani przez CollegeBoard
do przeprowadzania egzaminów SAT. Zachęcamy naszych uczniów do
ciągłego zadawania pytań i nauki w atmosferze kreatywnego dialogu. Młode umysły potrzebują ciągłych bodźców do wykreowania tego typu
umiejętności. Muszą posiąść zdolność planowania, organizacji i

pływanie, piłkę nożną, fitness, gimnastykę i tenis. Nasza szkolna
gazetka "IAS Times" redagowana jest w cyklu miesięcznym. Do szkolnych
inicjatyw należą: współpraca z organizacją charytatywną Warsaw
Mission, konkursy artystyczne, wycieczki, konkursy literackie i
oratorskie oraz recitale muzyczne. Szkoła posiada zorganizowany system
transportu z i do szkoły oraz korzysta z usług zewnętrznej firmy
cateringowej. Bezpieczeństwo i zdrowie naszych uczniów należą do priorytetów I.A.S. Budynki szkolne monitorowane są 24 godziny na dobę. Takie wymogi i
ograniczenia stwarzają duże poczucie bezpieczeństwa. Codziennie
lekarz, pielęgniarka i psycholog szkolny mają swoje dyżury. Utrzymując
najwyższe standardy nauczania oferujemy bardzo korzystną politykę
cenową.

Introducing Our New Head of Elementary School

We are delighted to introduce Mrs. Bilous as the new Head of Elementary School at the International American School of Warsaw.

“Dear Parents, Students and IAS Community,

It is with great excitement that I begin my new role as Head of Elementary School at IAS.

Having been part of the IAS community for the past three years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with our students as an EAL and Language Acquisition teacher, Social Studies teacher and Homeroom teacher. During this time, I have come to know what makes our school special: its international character, its diversity and the strong sense of community shared by our students, families and teachers.

As I begin this new chapter, my priorities are to continue strengthening the quality of teaching and learning, support the well-being and happiness of our students and build an even stronger partnership between school and home.

For me, one goal sits at the heart of everything we do:

“I want our students to enjoy coming to school, feel that they belong here and be proud to be part of IAS.”

I truly believe that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, understood and supported.

I am very much looking forward to welcoming both returning and new families and to making the 2026/2027 academic year one of learning, growth and positive experiences for our entire IAS community.”

Warm regards,
Beata Bilous
Head of Elementary School

Historic Milestone: 1,000+ graduates since 1989 at the International American School of Warsaw

In education, longevity means something. Schools grow through generations, through changing times, new ideas and thousands of everyday moments that shape young people.

Since 1989, more than 1,000 students have graduated from the International American School of Warsaw and gone on to universities, careers and lives around the world.

We are proud of the number, but even more proud of the people behind it.

37 years of IAS. 1,000+ graduates. A lot of history, and plenty still ahead.

A new 2026/2027 academic year is almost here. 🎒🎒🎒

At IAS, the journey begins in Kindergarten and Lower Elementary, where students build the confidence, language skills and academic foundations that shape everything that follows.

From there, they move through Elementary and Middle School, growing into more independent learners, before progressing to High School and the IB Diploma or American High School Diploma pathways.

One school. One academic journey from the earliest years to graduation.
School starts on September 1st and admissions are still open for selected grades.

Future Campus Sneak-Peak:
IAS is working on the school of today with a clear eye on the school of tomorrow.

At our current campus in Kabaty, our focus remains on making the most of the environment we have today while continuing to strengthen the academic experience, student support, activities and opportunities available to our students. Above everything else, student progress and growth remain the priority.

At the same time, we are preparing for the longer-term future of IAS at our own grounds in Konstancin. The first part is already taking shape, with our new sports pitches being prepared for use from September. The wider campus remains in its preparatory stages, with the architectural design completed by Bujnowski Architekci , an award-winning Warsaw studio with experience designing some of Poland’s most modern commercial and educational spaces. The design is minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic blend with Konstancin’s picturesque forest energy.

The future campus, which is 5ha in size, is being planned around the world our students are growing into. Athletics, Robotics, engineering, AI and coding, modern science and biology, botany and outdoor learning, together with art and immersive creative spaces amongst many other are all part of that thinking.

Education is changing quickly, and we want IAS to grow thoughtfully with it, giving students the knowledge, curiosity, confidence and practical skills they will need in a modern world.

There is still a journey ahead, and we will share more as the plans develop. For now, this is a glimpse of where IAS is heading.

We’re actively building IAS Online, a new digital home for the entire IAS community.

Parents, students, teachers and prospective families will be able to manage and explore school life from one place. Schedules, events, student profiles, important updates, school information, resources and more will all come together inside one connected platform.

For current families, it means a much clearer way to stay on top of everyday school life. For students, an easier way to navigate their journey. For teachers, better tools and better access to what matters. And for families considering IAS, a much more complete window into the school before they even join us.

We are building IAS Online to be more than another school portal. The goal is to create a platform that becomes part of the IAS experience itself and continues to grow with our community.

IAS Online is on the way.

Early education shapes so much more than the first years of school. It shapes confidence, curiosity, habits, friendships and the way a child begins to see the world.

At the International American School of Warsaw, we believe children learn best when they feel known, supported and encouraged from the very beginning. Our Kindergarten and Elementary School programme gives students a warm, structured and international environment where strong academic foundations grow alongside creativity, independence and care.

For families looking for the right start, IAS offers a thoughtful beginning for young learners in:

KG (Ages 5–6)
Grades 1–5 (Ages 6–11)

A strong beginning shapes everything that follows.
