„Zwyczaje pingwinów” Jakuba Poterały zostaną zaprezentowane w konkursie tegorocznego jubileuszowego 55. Lubuskiego Lata Filmowego, które odbędzie się Łagowie w dniach 28 czerwca – 5 lipca. „Moja kochana torebka” Karoliny Fronik, „Jagody” Marty Kowalskiej, „Strach” Roberta Zawadzkiego i „Kolor czereśni” Filipa Błaszczyka będą zaś częścią specjalnej prezentacji filmów Gdyńskiej Szkoły Filmowej w programie tej jednej z najstarszych imprez filmowych w Polsce.
🎬 „Zwyczaje pingwinów” Jakuba Poterały koncentruje się na dniu wyjazdu na placówkę badawczą matki kilkuletniego Antka, który musi zostać w kraju pod opieką dziadka. Miłość i odpowiedzialność za dziecko wchodzą tu w konflikt z ambicją i szansami zawodowymi.
🎬 Nagrodzony właśnie na prestiżowym 54. Huesca FF film dyplomowy Karoliny Fronik „Moja kochana torebka” przedstawia miły, rodzinny wypad ojca i córki, który szybko zmienia się w konfrontację z bolesną prawdą o ich relacji. Wspólny weekend przekształca się w próbę sił między lojalnością a potrzebą wolności.
🎬 Film dyplomowy Marty Kowalskiej „Jagody” śledzi sielankową sytuację rodzinną, która nieoczekiwanie przemienia się w horror, zmuszając bohaterkę do wyboru między miłością i wygodą a przyzwoitością i etyką.
🎬 Wyróżniony na Hollywood Short Fest w Los Angeles, a wcześniej na 50. FPFF w Gdyni „Strach” Roberta Zawadzkiego uwidacznia codzienne problemy etyczne, z którymi mierzą się mieszkańcy strefy pogranicza polsko-białoruskiego w związku z trwającym kryzysem humanitarnym.
🎬 Prezentowany premierowo „Kolor czereśni” Filipa Błaszczyka ukazuje spotkanie dwóch sióstr po śmierci matki w rodzinnym domu na wsi. Powrót jednej z nich po latach nieobecności staje się okazją do rozliczenia trudnej przeszłości.

𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐒 in the Short Film Competition, and 𝐌𝐘 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐆, 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒, 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐑, 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 in the Program of the 55th Lagow Eastern and Central European FF
Jakub Poterała’s “Penguin Habits” will be presented in the Short Film Competition of this year’s jubilee 55th edition of the Lagow Eastern and Central European Film Festival to take place between June 28th – July 5th. Karolina Fronik’s “My Dear Bag”, Marta Kowalska’s “Blueberries”, Robert Zawadzki’s “Fear”, and Filip Błaszczyk’s “The Color of Cherries” will be shown as a part of the special presentation of the Gdynia Film School’s productions in the program of this one of the oldest film events in Poland.
🎬 Presented earlier at film festivals in Poland, China, and Spain, the “Penguin Habits” by Jakub Poterała focuses on a day of departure for a long scientific expedition of Emilia, a mother of Antek, who is supposed to stay behind under his grandfather care. Love and responsibility for the child clash here with ambitions and professional opportunities.
🎬 Awarded with the Main Prize at the 54th Huesca FF, “My Dear Bag” by Karolina Fronik begins as a pleasant father and daughter getaway, which turns into a confrontation with the painful truth about their relationship. The weekend becomes a struggle between loyalty and the need for freedom.
🎬 “Blueberries” by Marta Kowalska follows an idyllic scenery of a high-end family life, which unexpectedly turns into horror forcing young Sara to choose between love and convenience on one side, and decency and ethics on the other.
🎬 Recipient of the Honorary Mention at the Hollywood Short Fest in LA, presented earlier at the 65th Krakow FF and 50th Gdynia FF in Poland, the “Fear” – a diploma film of Robert Zawadzki – explores the themes of humanity and moral conflict amidst a humanitarian crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border.
🎬 The premiere presentation, an etude “The Color of Cherries” by Filip Błaszczyk shows a meeting of two sisters after death of their mother in an old family house in the countryside. One’s return after years of absence becomes an opportunity for confronting a difficult past.
