tywnego uczestnictwa w kulturze kinowej. Stawiamy go w pozycji aktywnego uczestnika procesu przygotowania kin do wprowadzenia określonych filmów do repertuaru. Podczas zajęć wykorzystamy różnorodne metody pracy, w tym m.in. ankiety, burze mózgów, zajęcia artystyczne, rozmowy z psychologami i edukatorami filmowymi. Harmonogram działań projektu zostanie dopasowany do kalendarza roku szkolnego 2022/2023, uwzględniając dwa semestry: zimowy i wiosenny. W dwóch semestralnych cyklach, obejmujących trzy miesiące każdy, przedpremierowo zaprezentujemy widzom z każdej grupy po 6 filmów. Łącznie w ramach projektu „przetesujemy” odbiór 18 różnych filmów.

CINEMA OPEN TO YOUNGSTERS is a project conducted as part of the European „Collaborate to Innovate” initiative by the Gdynia Film Centre, Światowid Cinema in Elbląg and Echo Cinema in Jarocin that are all members of Europa Cinemas network. The aim of the project is to find an answer to the question how to talk to children and youth about European cinema to make it attractive and encourage them to actively take part in cinema culture. The core of the project is an innovative approach to the role of a young audience. Within the project, children and young people are a valuable source of knowledge on what are their expectations and what they need from cinema. They will be put in the position of the active participant of the process of introducing new films to cinemas’ programme. This is new to the current practice where a young viewer is merely a passive recipient of film offer prepared for young audience by adult professionals, who, by definition, "know better". The project will include participants from three age ranges: 8-11 years, 12-15 years, 16-18 years. Students will take part in pre-premiere movie screenings, supplemented by meetings devoted to them, as well as thematic workshops. During our meetings we will use various working methods, such as questionnaires, brainstorming, artistic activities, and meetings with psychologists and film educators. Workshops for teachers accompanying their students constitute another important element of the project. We want to equip them with new competences in using cinema in the didactic and educational process as well as in dialogue with the young generation. The schedule of activities in the programme will be adjusted to the calendar of the school year 2022/2023, taking into account two semesters: winter and spring ones. Within two periods of 3 months, young viewers from each group will take part in pre-premiere screenings of 6 films. In total, during the project we will „test” the reception of 18 different films.
