Thank you all, family, friends and colleagues, for your thoughts and prayers over this difficult time for all of us.
We know Jacek’s legacy will continue through your words, through his instruments and of course through his family.
Jacek left us far too soon. He had plans, ideas, dreams which he wanted to fulfil with us, with you.
But it wasn’t to be.
He did leave something very important, that will stay with us, both physical and intangible. This heritage is what we can carry into the future. There is so much we could write about Jacek, as a husband, father, brother, friend and companion. He had such a strong presence in our lives, and will be sorely missed…
It has been a month since his passing, still seems so unreal. To share just a couple of thoughts…
Jacek took an active role in enriching our surroundings with goodness and beauty, he loved nature and the simplicity of craft.
He shared his love for music and inspired us to be sensitive to the beauty of early music, folk as well as modern sounds.
He insisted and persisted in inspiring each one of us to work to the best of our abilities.
He loved the mountains, the air and landscape and dreamed of having a patch of land where we could come and where boys could play folk music.
His passion for flying goes back to when he was a young boy. He made model gliders in wood and paper, with such a precision that it seems impossible that they were made by a young teenager. And yes, we still have them, that’s how Jacek took care of his things..
He followed his dreams and many came true.

One of those dreams was gliding.
And a few years back he finally got to fulfil his passion. It was a clear milestone in his life, it brought another dimension and he became enthralled with it. Not so much as a sport, but the entire experience and incredible beauty of the glider and the breathtaking sites from above. And above all, up there he was as free as a bird and as close to Heaven as he could be.

On the 10th October he was to take the ultimate flight.
On that very day, one of his clients and friend played in a concert his freshly made viol. 🖤 Can you imagine that?

Words cannot describe how we feel, and the pain of his absence will stay with us forever.
I guess in a strange way, the only consolation is to think he left our company following one of his greatest passions.

I can imagine him up there smiling, the wind whistling over his glider. He is looking down on us, and he is free.
May your soul rest in peace my dearest Jacek🖤
