Comment: What is more important for you on Instagram, a picture🖼️ , or a caption📝?
When you really interact with the content, leave like, comment, save the post, what usually encourages you to do that?
📸Instagram officially is a “photo and video-sharing social networking service”. Beautiful pictures feeding unrealistic expectations (towards people, places, countries) have filled our feeds since the very beginning. I don’t know how about you, but I do leave a like on beautiful pictures, I leave a comment on extraordinary photos, creative approaches, and… educational, triggering thinking, or emotions captions. Especially those with PRO TIPS, which I kind useful - those I save in my folders.
⁉️Why I am talking about this? With a short analysis, of what triggers you to give more attention to someone’s content, you can easily gather valuable input - how to improve your account. In the end - you want people to like, comment, share, and SAVE your posts. Instagram ‘rewards’ with exposure, accounts that help them engage (+keep people on the app longer, because of all the ads they are running ;)).
💛 Personally, since the beginning of my IG journey, I am running my , which led me to dive deep into travel content for some years now. I think I saw it all. I started with liking and following all those beautiful destinations. Now - they all look the same, the same spots, edits + they all have this ‘cute’ caption - which just makes me go…"meh”.
The shift of content quality and captions becoming more and more important is very visible across Insta topics. I am not saying give up on your images, no! I myself like to have great pictures and improve my skills. But…make sure that it’s not JUST an image.

✨ PRO TIP: Not sure what to add in your caption? Share a story, thoughts, adventure, backstage of the photo, anything which will make your post more engaging and valuable. If you see only emojis in comments or “super pic!” - it might mean people like what they see - they just have nothing more to say about it. Your caption should help with that!
