Great news, just heard that the Polish government is going to reopen the borders on May 3rd.
Can't wait to resume welcoming guests instead of cancelling bookings. 😃

A beautiful 'Queen of Spain Fritillary' butterfly.
A very rare visitor to the UK. If fact fewer than 400 sightings have been recorded since its first discovery back in the year 1710. We see them here every year and probably my favourite butterfly of the many we see in, or close to, our garden here at Chycina 24 in a very hot and sunny Poland (35C ish).

Best jam in the world... probably.
Special Chycina 24 home made strawberry jam recipe (with Grand Marnier).
Eat with care - It is addictive!

Sunday found me slaving away over flaming bunsen burners in the laboratory. The result: Ten and a half jars of strawberry, lemon, vanilla and Grand Marnier jam.
We are now down to ten jars due to quality control.
EQAS (aka Roy) needs to verify its results and has requested that all ten jars be handed over immediately.
Nice try! :-)

Yesterday we had quite a surprise to find 3 very young Raccoon pups in our garden here in sunny Poland. They spent some hours wandering around exploring. There was no sign of mum but I don't suppose she was far away.
The pictures taken were all using a 100-400mm zoom so we did not get close enough to frighten them or worry mum, wherever she was.
