We are pleased to share that two Info Days of the AiM | Autism in Motion project were successfully held in Portugal!
📍 The first event took place at the Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra (ESEC) on 5 December 2025, bringing together a diverse group of educators, youth workers, higher education teachers and a parent. This rich mix fostered valuable cross-sector discussions and strong engagement around the project’s goals and future impact.
📍 The second event was hosted at APPDA Coimbra’s Training Centre on 14 January 2026, involving a specialised multidisciplinary team working directly with autistic children. This session provided a highly focused environment to explore the practical application of the project’s tools.
Across both events, participants showed great interest and commitment, reinforcing the relevance of AiM in supporting inclusive educational practices.

🎄☃️The Holiday Season looks different for everyone — and that’s okay ☃️🎄
For many children with autism, the festive season can be exciting, yet overwhelming.
Bright lights, loud music, crowded rooms, and changes in routine may feel like a lot.
🌟This Holiday Season, families can support their children by:
🎁keeping familiar routines where possible
🎁offering quiet spaces during celebrations
🎁respecting sensory needs (lights, sounds, textures)
🎁allowing children to engage and participate in their own way
At Autism in Motion, we believe inclusion starts with understanding — at home, in schools, and in our communities.
🎄Season’s greetings from the AiM family!
