One Day International Conference on "War, Crisis, and Human Survival" organized by University of Wah and co-organized by Wah Medical College! đź’«đź’
The Department of Sociology, University of Wah, in collaboration with the Department of Behavioral Sciences, Wah Medical College, organized an International Conference on “War, Crisis and Human Survival: Reimagining Medical, Social, Psychological and Strategic Responses” on June 18th, 2026. The conference brought together national and international scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students to discuss the multifaceted challenges posed by war, conflict, humanitarian crises, and human survival.
The conference provided a multidisciplinary platform for the presentation of research and exchange of ideas on topics including public health challenges, trauma and mental health, displacement, social resilience, strategic preparedness, and civil-military coordination during crises.
Distinguished speakers and researchers shared their insights through keynote addresses and technical sessions, promoting meaningful academic dialogue and collaboration.
Wah Medical College was proudly represented by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Musarrat Ramzan, who participated in the conference proceedings, chaired the session on Medical Sciences, and contributed to the academic discussions on behalf of the institution. Her participation highlighted the commitment of Wah Medical College to interdisciplinary research and collaborative efforts aimed at addressing contemporary global challenges.
