Respected Principal Mr. Dileep Kumar Malhi along with all teaching staff observed 5th August – Youm-e-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation) / Kashmir Exploitation Day with great enthusiasm and respect. Students and teachers participated in a peaceful rally to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. The participants carried banners and placards, raised awareness through slogans, and highlighted the importance of peace, justice, and human dignity. We are immensely proud to share that our brilliant student, Bhagchand, has secured admission to GIKI (Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology)—one of Pakistan’s most prestigious engineering universities—on merit in the BS Cyber Security program.
Bhagchand belongs to the Bheel community and completed his education from Class VI to Matric at Government Boys Higher Secondary School No. 1. Coming from a middle-class family, he proved that hard work, determination, and dedication can overcome every obstacle.

On Monday, July 20, 2026, the District Education Officer (Secondary & Higher Secondary), Mr. Mir Hassan Arisar, paid an official visit to Government Boys Higher Secondary School No. 1, Umerkot.
During the visit, he inspected the items supplied by the vendor and reviewed the school's ongoing academic and administrative activities. He expressed his satisfaction with the overall performance of the institution and highly appreciated the dedicated efforts and effective leadership of Principal Mr. Dileep Kumar in maintaining quality standards and ensuring the smooth functioning of the school.
