ڊسٽرڪٽ ايجوڪيشن گروپ (DEG) جو اجلاس اڄ سورهه بادشاهه ڪامپليڪس، عمرڪوٽ ۾ چيئرمين DEG/ڊي اي او ES&HS عمرڪوٽ، جناب مير حسن آريسر جي صدارت هيٺ منعقد ٿيو.

اجلاس ۾ ڊپٽي ڊسٽرڪٽ ايجوڪيشن آفيسرن، تعلقه ايجوڪيشن آفيسرن، فوڪل پرسن سنڌ چلڊرن پارليامينٽ، فوڪل پرسن ايجوڪيشن اِن ايمرجنسي (EiE) ۽ مختلف قومي ۽ بين الاقوامي ادارن (NGOs/INGOs) جي نمائندن شرڪت ڪئي.

اجلاس ۾ جناب ڊاڪٽر محمد لقمان نهڙي، ڊائريڪٽر جنرل ECCE سنڌ، خاص مهمان طور شرڪت ڪئي، چيئرمين DEG پاران سندن آجيان ڪئي وئي.

ان موقعي تي سنڌ لرننگ پروگرام (SLP) عمرڪوٽ جي نئين مقرر ٿيل فيلڊ ڪوآرڊينيٽر، جناب سردار علي شاهه، جو پڻ تعارف ڪرايو ويو ۽ کين ڀليڪار ڪندي نيڪ خواهشن جو اظهار ڪيو ويو.

اجلاس جي شروعات جناب غلام مرتضيٰ سهتو، ٽي اي او (ES&HS) عمرڪوٽ، جي والده مرحومه جي ايصالِ ثواب لاءِ دعا سان ڪئي وئي. مرحومه جي مغفرت، بلند درجات ۽ پونئيرن لاءِ صبرِ جميل جي دعا گهري وئي.

اجلاس دوران گرلز اسٽائپنڊ پروگرام، سنڌ لرننگ پروگرام (SLP)، نان فارمل ايجوڪيشن (NFE) ۽ تعليم سان لاڳاپيل ٻين اهم معاملن تي تفصيلي گفتگو ڪئي وئي، جيئن ضلعي عمرڪوٽ ۾ تعليم جي معيار کي وڌيڪ بهتر بڻائي سگهجي.

اجلاس جي پڄاڻي تي سڀني شرڪت ڪندڙن گڏيل سهڪار کي وڌيڪ مضبوط بڻائڻ ۽ جاري تعليمي منصوبن تي اثرائتي نموني عملدرآمد کي يقيني بڻائڻ جي عزم جو اظهار ڪيو.

The Reform Support Unit (RSU), School Education & Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, with the support of UNICEF and GPE under Sindh Learning Programme (SLP), has successfully organized Six-Day Teachers' Training on ECCE-FL Phase-III in District Umerkot from 13th to 18th July 2026 at Government Boys Elementary School N. Pathshala, Umerkot.

Today, on the concluding day of the training, Mr. Muhammad Luqman Nohri, Director General ECCE, Sindh, along with Mr. Abdul Samad Mugheri, Program Officer, MYWP UNICEF–RSU, Karachi, and education officials from District Umerkot visited the training. The esteemed guests encouraged the participant teachers to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the training in their classrooms to strengthen foundational learning and support the overall development of young children.

During the closing session, Mr. Abdul Samad Mugheri, Program Officer, MYWP UNICEF–RSU, Karachi, interacted with the participant teachers on the effective implementation of ECCE at the school and classroom levels. He addressed their questions, provided practical guidance, and encouraged the adoption of child-centred teaching practices and the effective use of ECCE teaching and learning materials.

Under the visionary leadership of the Honourable Minister for Education, Sindh, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the School Education & Literacy Department remains committed to strengthening quality teaching practices and foundational learning, ensuring a brighter future for every child.

The Phase-III Six-Day Teachers' Training on ECCE-FL, under the Sindh Learning Programme Component-2, organized by RSU with the support of UNICEF, continued from 13th to 18th July 2026 in District Umerkot at Government Boys Elementary School N. Pathshala, Umerkot.

On Wednesday, 15th July 2026, the training was honored by the visit of Mr. Muhammad Luqman, Director General ECCE, Sindh, accompanied by Mr. Amanullah Kalwar, SPM, RSU, the UNICEF team, Mr. Mir Hassan Arisar DEO (ES&HS), Umerkot and Dy.DEOs Umerkot.

During the visit, the distinguished guests appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the Master Trainers and encouraged the participating teachers to effectively implement ECCE practices in their respective schools, ensuring quality foundational learning and the holistic development of young children.

On the occasion, the Director General ECCE, SPM RSU, and the UNICEF team also held a productive meeting with the DEO (Primary/ES&HS) Umerkot, District Coordinator LSU Umerkot, and Dy. DEOs Umerkot. The discussion focused on school clustering and other strategic interventions to further strengthen the implementation of ECCE across District Umerkot.

District-Level Orientation Session under the Sindh Learning Programme (SLP) was successfully conducted on 14th July 2026 for DEOs, Dy. DEOs, and TEOs at GBELS N. Pathshala, Umerkot.

The session focused on the effective implementation of the SLP Project, with special emphasis on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Foundational Learning (FL).

Participants discussed key strategies to strengthen early learning, enhance foundational competencies, and ensure the effective implementation of the programme in District Umerkot.

A success story highlighting the impact of the School Feeding Program implemented by Community World Service Asia (CWSA) in partnership with SE&LD and PWS&D, improving girls’ education, nutrition, school attendance, and community well-being in rural Umerkot.

These stories demonstrate the transformative power of education, inclusion, and community-driven initiatives in creating positive and lasting change.

The interview sessions for the selection of nominated students from secondary schools of District Umerkot for the Sindh Children Parliament were successfully conducted on 6 June 2026 at the LSU Office, Sooreh Badshah Complex, Umerkot.

The interviews were conducted by Ms. Fiza Hanif and Mr. Sajid Ali from the Thar Education Alliance, in collaboration with Mr. Fareed Ahmed, District Focal Person for the Sindh Children Parliament initiative in Umerkot.

The purpose of the activity was to identify talented, confident, and deserving students who will represent the voices of children and contribute to promoting child participation, leadership, and advocacy through the Sindh Children Parliament.

The interview process was effectively facilitated and coordinated by the District Coordinator, LSU Umerkot, ensuring a smooth and transparent selection process.

A meeting of the District Education Group (DEG) Umerkot was held today, 04 June 2026, at Sooreh Badshah Complex, Umerkot, under the chairmanship of Mr. Mir Hassan Arisar, Chairman DEG/DEO (ES&HS) Umerkot.

During the meeting, participants discussed various important agenda items, including the Girls Stipend Program, School-Specific Budget (SSB), and other key educational initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education across the district.

The meeting was attended by Dy. DEOs, TEOs, AEOs (Primary/ES&HS), HMs, and representatives of partner NGOs/INGOs.

The Chair emphasized effective coordination among all stakeholders and directed participants to ensure timely implementation of educational programs and initiatives for better learning outcomes in District Umerkot.
