~~ BS-Admissions Fall 2023 announced for 45 different programs at GC University Lahore ~~

The first cycle of entrance tests for BS-Admissions 2023 will take place during 15-16 July 2023. Application deadline is 10 July 2023.

There will be two parts in the admission tests.

- Part A is a mandatory section for all applicants and is designed to assess key competencies, including critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, writing skills, analytical skills, creativity, communication skills, research skills, time management, ethical awareness, and interpersonal skills. This part carries 60% weight.

- In Part B, we have identified six streams for the Undergraduate entrance Test. These streams are: (i) Pre-Medical, (ii) Pre-Engineering, (iii) Commerce, (iv) ICS, (v) Arts, and (vi) General Science. This stream-specific part carries 40% weight.

Each student will choose the test stream as determined by their intermediate studies. All candidates who successfully pass the test will have the opportunity to select their preferred programs through the online portal.

Those who miss this first cycle altogether or would wish to appear again, there will also be a second cycle of entrance tests in August 2023.

Annual Report of Youth Educational Council Session 2022-23



The Youth Educational Council is pleased to present its annual report for the year 2022-2023. This report provides an overview of the Council's activities and achievements of the cabinet. The Council's mission is to promote reading culture in community and ensure that all learners have access to the resources for gaining knowledge.

During the year, the Council focused on several key activities to achieve its mission, including awareness regarding career counselling, sessions, scholarships awareness sessions, Study circles, publication of Council First Educational magazine (Rahdarbar-I), held events about Baloch culture day and International mother language day. The council also spread messages regarding admissions and scholarships through its social media wings.

The council conducted career counselling
sessions as well as scholarships awareness sessions in Govt. boys higher secondary school Khairabad and Govt. boys higher secondary school Nasirabad, turbat kech.

Under 3rd cabinet various study circles were held in Nasirabad Public library as well as student’s problems were highlighted. YEC successfully published its dual language magazine named Rahdarbar-I which is a collaboration work of B-areas students and YEC members, magazine aimed to promote Balochi language as well as reading culture among youth.

YEC organised a seminar about Baloch culture day and International mother language day also held a musical event.
As a part of its moto YEC organized various book stalls moreover YEC members also work voluntarily in various blood donations camps of Kech thalassemia care center.

Under the chairmanship of Niaz Majeed, the 3rd cabinet of the Youth Educational Council successfully completed its tenure, achieving various targets set by the Council's mission. The YEC remains dedicated to its goal of fostering a love for learning and providing educational resources to the community.

ضلع کیچ کے علاقوں میں پرائمری سکولوں میں بنیادی سہولیات، قابل اساتذہ، مناسب سکول انفراسٹرکچر، پینے کا صاف پانی، کلاس رومز میں مناسب انفراسٹرکچر، اور طلباء کے لیے بیت الخلاء دستیاب نہیں، تعلیم کا یہ فقدان انتہائی تشویشناک ہے۔ ضلع کیچ کے علاقے میں جہاں یہ مسائل دیکھنے کو نظر آتا ہیں، متعلقہ حکام کو چاہیے کہ ان اہم مسائل کو حل کرانے میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔ جو کہ کالاتک، نودز، ناصر آباد، خیر آباد، نظر آباد، ہوت آباد، تمپ، مند، بالیچہ، شےکن، میر آباد، گومازی ان علاقوں کے لوگ تعلیم جیسی سے زیور سے محروم ہیں۔
تعلیم خوشگوار زندگی کی کنجی ہے لیکن بدقسمتی سے ان علاقوں کے عوام اعلیٰ تعلیم اور تعلیمی ماحول سے محروم ہیں۔

حال ہی میں پرائمری سکول ہوت آباد کے طلباء نے اپنے سکول میں اساتذہ کی عدم دستیابی سے تنگ آکر ان کے خلاف احتجاج کرتے ہوئے زبیدہ جلال روڈ کو بلاک کر دیا اور متعلقہ حکام سے غیر حاضر اساتذہ کے خلاف کارروائی کا مطالبہ کیا۔ طلباء کا احتجاج کرنے مقصد اُن ٹیچرز کے خلاف فوری اور سنجیدہ کارروائی کی جائے اور انہیں اساتذہ فراہم کیے جائیں تاکہ وہ اپنی تعلیمی سرگرمیاں جاری رکھ سکیں، سکولوں میں اساتذہ کی غیر حاضری تعلیمی معیار اور طلباء کے مستقبل کو تباہ و برباد کرنے کا مترادف ہے، ہم ان کی شدید مذمت کرتے ہیں اور ان طلباء کے ساتھ شانہ بشا نہ کڑے رہیں گے جب تک ان کے مسائل سنجیدگی سے حل نہیں کیے جائیں گے تعلیم ہر فرد کا بنیادی حق ہیں جو بلوچ قوم اس سے محروم ہیں۔

تعلیمی اداروں کے لیے یہ ضروری ہے کہ وہ ان بنیادی ضروریات کو ترجیح دیں تاکہ یہ یقینی بنایا جا سکے کہ طلبہ اچھی تعلیم حاصل کر سکیں۔ سیکھنے کا ماحول فراہم کریں، تعلیم کے شعبے میں سرمایہ کاری معاشرے کے مستقبل میں سرمایہ کاری ہے۔ بچوں کو سیکھنے کے لیے سازگار ماحول اور ضروری وسائل فراہم کرنے سے، وہ نہ صرف اپنی پوری صلاحیتوں تک پہنچ سکیں گے بلکہ ضلع کے بی علاقوں کی مجموعی ترقی میں بھی مثبت کردار ادا کریں گے۔
