We should teach children to greet guests, offer them water, and talk to them politely. These small habits from childhood build good character and beautiful manners. Good manners stay with us for our whole life.

Faran School System is reminding parents that teaching respect and mehmaan nawazi is just as important as studies. It helps children become responsible and well-mannered citizens. 🇵🇰

Azadi*, or freedom, is the greatest gift for any nation. On *14th August 1947*, Pakistan got its Azadi after great sacrifices. Because of Azadi, we can live in our own country, follow our religion, speak our language, and make our own decisions.

Azadi gives us the right to education, freedom to work, and a safe life. It reminds us to be proud of our flag, our culture, and our identity. With Azadi comes responsibility - we must study hard, work honestly, and keep our country clean and united.

True Azadi means not only freedom from others, but also freedom from poverty, ignorance, and pollution. Let us celebrate Azadi by making Pakistan stronger, greener, and better for future generations.

Planting trees and plants is very important for Pakistan. Our country faces problems like pollution, heat, and lack of clean air. Plants give us oxygen, clean the air, and provide shade. They also help to stop soil erosion and keep the weather cool. Trees like *Neem, Sheesham, and fruit trees* give us wood, fruits, and medicine.

In farms, plants like wheat, rice, and cotton are the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. Planting more trees in cities and villages can reduce smog, fight climate change, and make Pakistan green and beautiful.

A campaign like *"Plant a tree, make Pakistan green"* helps us protect our environment for the next generation. A green Pakistan is a healthy and prosperous Pakistan. 🇵🇰🌳

Nurturing Thankfulness in Children 💙✍️

In today's fast-paced digital world, children are constantly exposed to social media, advertisements, and online content that encourages them to focus on what they don't have rather than appreciating what they already do. They often compare themselves with others, leading to feelings of dissatisfaction and unrealistic expectations. As parents, it is our responsibility to teach children not only academic skills but also essential life values that shape their character. One of the most valuable of these is gratitude.

Gratitude is much more than simply saying "thank you." It is the habit of recognizing life's blessings, appreciating the kindness of others, and finding joy in everyday moments. Children who develop gratitude from an early age tend to become happier, more optimistic, and emotionally resilient individuals. They learn to value relationships, cherish experiences, and approach life with a positive mindset.

Summer vacations provide the perfect opportunity to introduce this meaningful habit. With a break from the usual academic routine, families have more time to spend together and build positive daily practices. One of the simplest yet most powerful activities parents can encourage is keeping a Gratitude Journal.

A Gratitude Journal is a notebook where children spend just a few minutes each day writing or drawing things they are thankful for. This activity doesn't have to be complicated. Encourage your child to write down three things they are grateful for every day. These could be simple moments such as enjoying a meal with family, spending time with friends, receiving help from a teacher, playing outside, reading a favorite book, or simply being healthy and safe.

This small daily practice gradually changes the way children think. Instead of focusing on complaints or disappointments, they begin to notice the positive moments in their lives. They become more aware of the love, care, and opportunities that surround them. Over time, gratitude becomes a natural part of their personality, helping them develop emotional strength and a more balanced outlook on life.

Always remember...

A grateful heart is the foundation of a happy and content life.

Research has consistently shown that children who regularly practice gratitude experience lower levels of stress and anxiety. They tend to have better emotional well-being, stronger relationships, and higher self-esteem. Gratitude also encourages empathy and kindness, making children more compassionate toward others. Instead of taking people and opportunities for granted, they learn to appreciate acts of kindness and become more willing to help those around them.

Parents can make this activity fun and engaging by giving each child a colorful notebook to personalize as their Gratitude Journal. Younger children who are not yet able to write can express their gratitude through drawings, stickers, or simple conversations with their parents. The goal is not perfect writing but meaningful reflection.

The first practical step is to establish a regular routine. Choose a fixed time every day, such as after dinner or before bedtime, when the family can spend five to ten minutes reflecting on the day's blessings. Children are more likely to develop positive habits when they see their parents practicing them as well. When parents openly share what they are grateful for, they set a powerful example that children naturally follow.

To make the activity more interactive, ask children simple reflection questions such as:

What was the happiest moment of your day?
Who helped you today, and how did it make you feel?
What is one thing you are thankful for today?
How did you make someone else's day better?
What blessing do you often forget to appreciate?

These conversations help children recognize positive experiences while also developing emotional awareness and communication skills.

Families can also dedicate one evening each week to a Family Gratitude Circle, where everyone shares three things they appreciated during the week. This simple tradition strengthens family bonds, encourages meaningful conversations, and creates lasting memories. It also teaches children that every family member has unique experiences and blessings worth celebrating.

Parents should remember that a Gratitude Journal is not a competition. Some days children may only think of one thing to write, while on other days they may fill an entire page. Avoid correcting or criticizing their answers. Instead, encourage them to express themselves honestly. Consistency is far more important than perfection. Positive reinforcement helps children stay motivated and gradually turns gratitude into a lifelong habit.

A few minutes of gratitude each day can have a lasting impact on a child's future. Children who learn to appreciate life's blessings often become more confident, patient, respectful, and emotionally resilient. They are better equipped to face challenges because they focus on opportunities rather than obstacles. They also develop stronger relationships, as gratitude teaches them to value the people who support and care for them.

This summer, start a new family tradition.

Just five minutes each day.

One notebook.

Three blessings.

And one grateful heart.

Because gratitude is not just a habit—it is a way of life. When children learn to appreciate what they have, they develop a positive mindset, greater emotional well-being, and a stronger sense of purpose. These simple moments of reflection today can shape confident, compassionate, and responsible adults tomorrow.

And always remember...

"A grateful heart is always content, and gratitude is the hallmark of a healthy and happy mind."
