Institute of Chemical Sciences Renamed as Department of Chemistry

In accordance with the New Statutes of the University of Swat 2025, the Institute of Chemical Sciences has officially been renamed as the Department of Chemistry.

Following this statutory change, the official page name has been updated to Department of Chemistry, University of Swat. All academic, administrative, and official documentation will henceforth be issued under the new name.

This change reflects an institutional reorganization approved by the University of Swat and does not affect ongoing academic programs, research activities, or faculty appointments.

Succes story of MaaZ kHaN!
Mr. MaaZ kHaN was a brilliant student of BS-Chemistry 1st Batch (2015-19) at Institute of Chemical Science, University of Swat. After completing his Bachelor's studies at ICS-UoS, he joined Department of Chemistry, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, performed his research work at International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi (ICCBS-UoK) and completed his M.Phil in Organic Chemistry in 2022. Recently, he is joined Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences to pursue PhD in Medicinal Chemistry on UCAS full Scholarship. We wish him all the best for future endeavours.
