Today we live in a world where people are exploiting natural resources for the sake of progression and industrialization without realizing it's repercussions in the future. For a healthy life TODAY and a healthy life TOMORROW we need to be mindful about how we consume natural resources and avoid them from being depleted. "World Nature Conservation Day" is all about spreading awareness about the importance of striving for a HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT.

So let's pledge, to take tiny steps, to make an impact in the longer run for a healthier and safer environment tomorrow.

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR CONSERVING THE NATURE?

1) Avoid wastage of food and water.
2) Plant more trees and add as much greenery as you can.
3) Practice recycling reusable and biodegradable products.
4) Reduce your carbon footprints.
5) Get yourself well acquainted with terminologies such as CLIMATE CHANGE, DEFORESTATION, RESOURCE DEPLETION and BIODIVERSITY.
6) Don't be selfish and think about your future generations.

Pakistani Professors/ Researchers apply for Joint Research Projects with Professors from Switzerland and get Funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNFS) supports international research collaboration through the Swiss Programme for International Research by Scientific Investigation Teams (SPIRIT). This program specifically promotes team-based cross-border research.
Through SPIRIT, they aim to facilitate knowledge exchange between Swiss researchers and their partners in selected developing countries. This program is giving Swiss researchers more opportunities to collaborate with partners in many countries around the world.
Application Deadlines: 05 November 2024
Fund:
Applicants can request between 50,000 and 500,000 francs per project.
At least 30% of each approved grant must be allocated to Switzerland and at least 30% to the relevant partner country/countries.
Duration: 2-4 years
Research Areas: All disciplines
Eligibility:
A SPIRIT proposal can be jointly submitted by a minimum of two and a maximum of four applicants. At least one applicant must engage in research work in Switzerland, and at least one must do so in an eligible partner country.
