However, when speaking is part of a game, students forget their fear and focus on fun and participation. They run, jump, compete, laugh, and at the same time they are using English naturally. This creates an environment where language becomes a tool for communication rather than a subject to memorize.

One of the most exciting activities we conduct is the Run and Speak Challenge. In this activity, students run to a point, pick a topic card, and then speak about the topic for 30–60 seconds. The physical movement increases their energy, and the speaking part builds their fluency and confidence. Students quickly learn how to organize their thoughts and express ideas without hesitation.

Another engaging activity is Action Commands Game. In this game, one student becomes the leader and gives commands in English such as “Jump twice,” “Turn around,” or “Touch the door.” Other students must listen carefully and follow the commands. This activity improves listening skills, vocabulary, and sentence structure while keeping students physically active.

We also organize Team Relay Speaking Games. In these activities, teams compete with each other. A student runs to the teacher, receives a question or picture, runs back to the team, and explains it in English. The team must guess the answer correctly. This encourages teamwork, quick thinking, and spontaneous speaking.

Physical games also improve confidence and classroom bonding. Students support and motivate each other during these activities. Even shy students begin to participate because the focus is not on perfect grammar but on communication and enjoyment. Over time, this practice naturally improves pronunciation, vocabulary, and fluency.
