Sukkur IBA University proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement as its Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) has been awarded the prestigious ‘W’ Category by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan — the highest recognition for research and innovation excellence. This milestone places Sukkur IBA University among only six universities across Pakistan to attain the ‘W’ category, and one of just two universities in Sindh to receive this top honor. This success is a reflection of the visionary leadership of our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, the unwavering dedication of Team ORIC, and the relentless efforts of our esteemed faculty members. Special recognition goes to Dr. Javed Shahani (Current Director ORIC) for his instrumental role in achieving this milestone, as well as Dr. Abdul Qadir Rahimoon and Dr. Faheem Gul Gilal, whose contributions as former Directors ORIC laid a strong foundation for this accomplishment. Their collective commitment to advancing research, innovation, and commercialization has positioned Sukkur IBA University as a national leader in higher education excellence.
