Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College (GMMMC), Sukkur proudly celebrated the inauguration of the newly developed Surgical OTs and modern Laboratory facilities—another significant step toward strengthening healthcare delivery and medical education in the region.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and National Anthem, followed by a welcome address by MS GMMMC Sukkur, Dr. Ahmed Mujtaba. Principal Professor Dr. Saleh Muhammad Channa presented the developmental journey and future vision of GMMMC, highlighting the collective efforts and dedication of the administration and healthcare teams.

The occasion was further enriched by remarks from respected Commissioner Sukkur, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and institutional growth for improved public healthcare.

The ceremony was honoured by the gracious presence and inspiring address of Honourable Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, whose continued support, encouragement and commitment toward Sukkur and institutions like GMMMC remain deeply appreciated.

World Hypertension Day was observed at GMMMC Sukkur with great enthusiasm and commitment towards spreading awareness about hypertension and heart health.

The programme commenced with a Healthy Walk from CCU to the GMMMC Campus, symbolizing the importance of an active lifestyle in preventing hypertension. The event formally began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Tahir Hussain Soomro, HOD Cardiology GMMMC Sukkur & Coordinator Pakistan Cardiac Society Sukkur Chapter.

An informative presentation on hypertension awareness was delivered by Dr. Zuhaib Zahoor Soomro, followed by an engaging live demonstration session. Valuable remarks were shared by President PMA Sukkur, Dr. Zulfiqar Soomro, while the concluding remarks were presented by Dr. Abdul Rasheed Dayo.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Vice President Dr. Abdul Sami Meerani.

The program began with flag hoisting, followed by recitation of the Holy Quran and the National Anthem. Principal Prof. Dr. Saleh Muhammad Channa addressed the gathering, a documentary on Marka-e-Haq was presented, and students shared their reflections.
