SELD Announces Standardized PCK Specialization Courses for the B.Ed. 1.5-Year Secondary Program

In a landmark step toward strengthening teacher education in Sindh, the School Education & Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, through the Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority (STEDA), in collaboration with public and private universities, has developed Standardized Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) Specialization Courses for the B.Ed. 1.5-Year Secondary Program.

These courses are designed to prepare prospective secondary-school teachers for the Teaching License by developing subject-specific pedagogical competencies aligned with quality standards in teacher education.

سندھ حکومت نے 2026-27 کا بجٹ پیش کر دیا ہے، لیکن تعلیم کے لیے مختص رقم امیدوں کے برعکس کم کر دی گئی ہے۔ گزشتہ پانچ برسوں میں تعلیمی بجٹ مسلسل بڑھتا رہا اور 2025-26 میں 613.36 ارب روپے تک پہنچ گیا، مگر آئندہ مالی سال کے لیے اسے گھٹا کر صرف 601 ارب روپے کر دیا گیا ہے۔

یہ محض اعداد و شمار میں کمی نہیں، بلکہ سندھ کے لاکھوں بچوں کے بہتر مستقبل اور خوابوں پر ایک ضرب ہے۔ تعلیمی بجٹ میں کمی کا مطلب کم اسکول، کم اساتذہ، ناکافی تعلیمی وسائل اور خاص طور پر غریب اور پسماندہ طبقات کی بچیوں کے لیے تعلیم تک محدود رسائی ہے۔

ہم اس کمی کو قبول نہیں کر سکتے۔ ہر بچے کا حق ہے کہ اسے معیاری تعلیم میسر ہو، اور اس حق کی ضمانت ایک ایسے تعلیمی بجٹ سے ہی ممکن ہے جو تمام بچوں، بالخصوص بچیوں، کی ضروریات کو مدنظر رکھے۔

تعلیم پر خرچ نہیں، سرمایہ کاری کی جاتی ہے۔
