An Orientation & Capacity Building Training was successfully organized to enhance operational efficiency, discipline, and digital proficiency among Grade-I staff members by Mr. Aslam Admin Officer college of Education and Mr. Muhamamd Iqbal It Instructor.

Digital Systems: Hands-on training on the BAS Attendance App for daily attendance and leave applications, along with basic EMIS data navigation.

Workplace Discipline:Emphasizing punctuality, proper leave channels, and professional workplace communication.

Maintenance & Safety: Establishing daily checklists for classroom cleanliness, facility checks, and property protection.

Teamwork:Building a respectful, student-friendly environment through collaborative effort.

Every employee plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and disciplined learning environment!

Independence Day Celebration at College of Education for Women, Sundus Skardu
The College of Education for Women, Sundus Skardu, celebrated the Independence Day of Pakistan with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students and faculty members actively participated in a variety of activities organized to commemorate the occasion.
The celebration reflected the spirit of patriotism and national pride. Students presented speeches, national songs, and other engaging performances, while faculty members also participated enthusiastically delivering speech and national songs. The event provided an opportunity for everyone to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes and reaffirm their commitment to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and unity among the students and faculty.

We are delighted to announce that our esteemed college instructor, Mr. Arif Hussain, has been selected as Lecturer BPS-17 in Government Colleges of Gilgit-Baltistan through the Federal Public Service Commission, Islamabad.

Mr. Arif Hussain secured a top position on merit, which reflects his dedication, hard work, and academic excellence.

This marks his second consecutive success through FPSC. Earlier, he also qualified for the position of Trained Graduate Teacher.

The entire college family congratulates Mr. Arif Hussain on this outstanding achievement and wishes him continued success in his academic career.

Their research focuses on improving education in Skardu through exploring teaching strategies, student engagement, effective teaching, and the role of social media in learning.

Learning Science Beyond the Classroom

Students of Semester V and Semester VII, Departments of Science and General Education, stepped beyond the conventional four walls of the classroom to experience science in action through an educational field visit to Satpara Dam and Power House-I.

The students were warmly welcomed by the WAPDA team, who provided an insightful briefing on the functioning of the dam and the process of electricity generation through hydropower. During the visit, students directly observed how the potential energy of stored water is transformed into kinetic energy and then converted into electrical energy through turbines and generators. Concepts such as renewable energy, energy conversion, hydropower technology, electricity generation, water resource management, and sustainable energy production were explored in a real-world setting.

Witnessing these scientific processes firsthand enabled students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, deepening their understanding of how science and technology contribute to national development. Such field experiences are an important pedagogical strategy in science education, allowing learners to observe scientific phenomena, investigate real-life applications of scientific principles, and appreciate how science works beyond textbooks.

The cooperation and hospitality of WAPDA, especially Mr Sajjad Ali, Resident Engineer/PD, Mr. Zeeshan Muzaffar SDO, Mr. Muhammad Saleem Assistant Executive Engineer and the entire team members, are highly appreciated for making this learning experience informative and memorable.

Special thanks to Principal Ms. Naila Rani for facilitating and supporting this educational visit. Appreciation is also extended to Mr. Ghulam Raza, HoD General Education Group, Mr. Zaheer Abbas, HoD Science Education, and Ms. Sadia for accompanying and mentoring the students throughout the trip.

Learning becomes most meaningful when students can see, observe, and experience science in the real world.

Quality Enhancement Visit | College of Education
We were honored to host a delegation from the University of Baltistan Skardu at the College of Education today. The visit was led by Dr. Atarad Ali, Additional Director QEC, University of Baltistan Skardu, accompanied by Dr. Kamran Farrukh, HoD, Department of Education, Mr. Nasim Abbas Controller Examination and Mr. Zaheer Admin QEC University Of Baltistan Skardu.
We are grateful to Ms. Naila Rani, Principal, College of Education and Mr. Noor Ul Ain Ansari, Vice Principal, for their leadership and warm hospitality throughout the evaluation process. Mr. Zaheer Abbas, Focal Person QEC, College of Education, briefed the delegation on the college’s academic, administrative, and quality enhancement initiatives undertaken.
The delegation appreciated the overall maintenance and availability of academic facilities, including classrooms, library resources, science laboratory equipment and chemicals, and the computer lab.
Positive feedback was shared on the quality of teaching, student engagement, and the learning environment observed during student interactions.
Special appreciation was extended to the QEC Committee for consistent and excellent work over the last three years, including effective coordination and documentation for this evaluation.
The course files submitted by faculty members were reviewed and appreciated. The university officials also shared constructive feedback for further improvement. The delegation presented commendation for the wonderful arrangement of Art, Craft, and Calligraphy Room by Ms. Zehra Mehreen, instructor of the college.
The college administration was acknowledged for effective arrangements, hospitality, and professional conduct during the entire evaluation process.The delegation stated that their valuable feedback will guide us toward continued excellence in teaching, learning, and institutional development in line with HEC and University standards.
Heartfelt thanks to the entire QEC Committee, faculty, and staff for making this evaluation a success.

A memorable and heartfelt day at the College of Education for Women, Sundus Skardu

On April 20, we had the honor of celebrating the retirement of our محترمہ Principal, Ms. Kaniz Fatima, whose dedication and leadership have left a lasting mark on our institution.

The ceremony was beautifully hosted by Acting Principal Ms. Naila Wani, who shared thoughtful reflections on Madam Kaniz Fatima’s vision, commitment, and tireless efforts for the growth of the college. Our students also expressed their love and gratitude through speeches, prayers, and a special cake-cutting ceremony 🎂, making the moment even more meaningful and emotional.

Vice Principal Mr. Nuurul Ansari highlighted in detail the remarkable services of Madam Kaniz Fatima, appreciating her strong leadership and her role in strengthening academic standards and discipline. Representing the female faculty, Ms. Aniqa Bano extended heartfelt thanks and especially acknowledged Madam’s key initiatives during her 2.5-year tenure — most notably the establishment of the hostel facility, which has been a transformative step for students from remote areas.

The faculty and staff presented souvenirs as a token of respect and appreciation, while a special gift from hostel students reflected their deep affection and gratitude .

To make the day even more special, Madam Kaniz Fatima graciously hosted a wonderful lunch for the faculty and staff, giving everyone a chance to share memories and celebrate her journey together.

It was truly a day filled with respect, gratitude, and emotions — a beautiful farewell to a remarkable leader. We wish Madam Kaniz Fatima a happy, healthy, and peaceful retired life.
