Marka-e-Haq was celebrated at GMHSS with great zeal and patriotism. Teachers and students participated vigorously in the program.
The event included speech, painting, and essay competitions to highlight the significance of May 10 and the bravery of our armed forces. Quizzes on national defense were also conducted to enhance students’ awareness.
Students presented national songs to pay tribute to the martyrs and armed forces.
The celebration fostered patriotism and pride among students and reminded everyone that truth and courage always prevail.

Labour Day was celebrated at GMHSS with great enthusiasm and active participation of students and staff. The event aimed to recognize the contribution and dignity of labor in society.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by speeches delivered by both teachers and students highlighting the importance of workers’ rights and the role of labor in national development.
The Principal/DDO, in her address, appreciated the efforts of the non-teaching staff and acknowledged their role in the smooth functioning of the institution.

Pakistan Red Crescent organized a road safety awareness event at GMHSS Skardu on 14th April 2026, to educate students on traffic rules and accident prevention. The Directress addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of wearing helmets, using seatbelts, following traffic signals, and avoiding mobile phone use on roads. The program included interactive activities such as a student-performed skit demonstrating safe and unsafe road behaviors, along with quizzes on road signs and first aid basics. At the end, prizes were distributed to winners of the skit and quiz by Pakistan Red Crescent representatives and school staff.

Government Girls Model High School Hospital Road Skardu, observed Water Saving Day on April 13, 2026, with an awareness program focused on the theme “Save water save life.” The event began in the morning assembly where senior students delivered a speech highlighting the global water crisis and shared simple, practical methods for conserving water in daily life. Following this, students of the ECD and Primary sections took part in a poster-making activity that illustrated ways to save water at home and school, and the best entries were later displayed on the school’s main notice board for all to see.
Overall,the observance was informative and engaging, leaving students with a clearer understanding of why saving water matters and how small daily actions can make a meaningful difference.

18th December marked as red letter day at GMHS Hospital Road Skardu
The school's annual result day was a resounding success , with an impressive 90% result and an outstanding 4.7 GPA. The event was celebrat ed with great zeal and zest, showcasing the students' hard work and dedication. The atmosphere was electric, with students, teachers, and parents beaming with pride. Youm-e-Takreem Asatiza Aur Taqseem-e-Inaamaat was held to appreciate the hard work and dedication of educators. The event saw a gathering of esteemed teachers and school administrators, with many receiving appreciation certificates for their outstanding contributions.
Our Esteemed Institution Govt Girls Model High School was also honoured with the best performing school at District Level .
The certificates and cash prizes were presented to the Honourable Principal /DDO Ma'am Marzia Saqib and Mrs.Hamida Abbas for the category of best performing principals while Mrs.Memona for showing oustoning result in Islamiat/Islamic studies , Mr.Zair Mehdi for physics and Mrs.Salma for Chemistry at SSC Level respectively by administrators, acknowledging their tireless efforts in imparting knowledge and values to their students.
The teachers were visibly moved by the recognition, and many expressed their gratitude for the appreciation. The event served as a testament to the school's commitment to valuing its educators and recognizing their dedication to providing quality education.

A traffic awareness session was conducted for students of Govt Girls Model High School Skardu by the District Administration and traffic police on October 7, 2025. The session aimed to educate students about road safety rules and promote responsible behavior as pedestrians and future drivers.
The traffic police officer emphasized the importance of road safety and the consequences of reckless behavior.
Students learned about essential traffic rules, such as wearing helmets, following traffic signals, and using pedestrian crossings.The officer demonstrated safe pedestrian practices, including looking both ways before crossing the road and using zebra crossings .Students participated in an interactive session, asking questions and sharing their experiences related to road safety.
The traffic awareness session was highly informative and engaging, with students actively participating in the discussion. The session helped students understand the importance of road safety and the role they can play in preventing accidents.
The school administration expressed gratitude to the local traffic police for conducting the session and wished to collaborate with them for future initiatives.
