It was an honor to host the Director of Punjab College, Sir Asgher Sahib, along with the Principal, Sir Javed Kaif Sahib, at our school today. Their visit and kind appreciation of our efforts truly inspired both teachers and students alike. They motivated our matric students to make the most of the Prep by PGC app, which offers comprehensive study material and high-quality video lectures aligned with the new course. Such encouragement from respected leaders strengthens our commitment to academic excellence. We are grateful for their valuable guidance and support.

Class 9th, session 2026,Shehroz Grammar High School Sialkot
The tragic incident at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Badiana, in which an innocent student lost her life, is deeply heartbreaking and has shaken the entire community. However, in such painful circumstances, it is essential that emotions do not override the principles of justice and due process. The immediate arrest of the CEO Education and the Head of School, without the completion of a fair and transparent investigation, raises serious legal and ethical concerns.
The role of the CEO Education is administrative and academic in nature. His responsibility is to ensure quality education in schools, monitor academic performance, supervise teachers, and implement educational policies effectively. He is not responsible for construction work, technical inspections, approval of building materials, or the awarding of tenders. Matters related to construction, structural safety, material quality, and project supervision fall under the jurisdiction of the Building Department, engineering authorities, and the contractor who was awarded the tender through the proper procurement process. The CEO Education and the Headmistress neither issued the construction tender nor approved the building materials.
Holding educational administrators criminally liable for alleged construction defects, without establishing their direct involvement or negligence, is unjust and contrary to the principles of law. Accountability must be determined through evidence, technical inquiry, and due legal process. Only those departments and individuals responsible for construction approval, material verification, and structural safety should be investigated and, if found guilty, held accountable.
Justice demands an impartial investigation to determine the actual cause of the incident and to identify the truly responsible parties. Arresting officials whose duties do not include construction oversight not only undermines administrative fairness but also sets a troubling precedent. The focus must remain on facts, legal responsibility, and transparent inquiry rather than on premature blame.
Your child’s future begins in the classroom; kindly send them to school after the winter holidays.
Respected Education Minister
Mr. Rana Sikandar Hayat Sahib,
With due respect, I wish to submit that most areas of Punjab, including Sialkot, are currently experiencing minimum temperatures of 3–5°C and daytime temperatures of 14–19°C, with clear and sunny weather. These conditions are cool but normal and manageable for educational activities.
In comparison, many countries across Europe continue to keep schools open despite facing sub-zero temperatures, snowfall, and severe winter conditions. With proper winter arrangements, education there remains uninterrupted, highlighting the importance given to academic continuity.
Sir, students in Punjab have already remained at home for nearly 20 days. If school closures continue for another six to seven days, it may seriously affect not only their studies but also their ethical, moral, and social values. Prolonged stay at home, particularly for teenage boys and girls, often results in excessive and unsupervised use of mobile phones, social media, TikTok, and reels, which negatively impacts discipline, character building, and learning habits.
Schools are not only centers of education but also institutions of moral training, routine, guidance, and positive social interaction. Considering the moderate winter temperatures in Punjab, international practices, and the growing concern for students’ academic and moral well-being, I humbly request your kind consideration for the immediate reopening of schools across Punjab, with appropriate winter precautions.
We have full confidence in your wise leadership and your sincere commitment to the future of our children.
With highest respect,
Rashid Hussain
School Principal
