Infinitives of Purpose: (to + verb)
We use the infinitives of purpose to explain the reason for something. We can use the infinitive to explain why we do things. It declares our goal or purpose. We can say that it is used to explain why an action is done.
Examples
• I came to meet my friend. (to meet)
• Rania is getting ready to attend the wedding. (to attend)
• I promise to learn my lesson. (to learn)
• She will study hard to pass the exam. (to pass)
