Aims and Objectives of the Society:
- To foster an awareness of the importance of literature in general and Allama Iqbal’s works in particular.
- To encourage the study and appreciation of Iqbal’s work.
- To organise lectures, seminars, discussion groups, forums and other gatherings on literary topics.
- To promote excellence in the study of literature through providing awards and prizes at lo
cal educational institutions.
- To support societies and associations elsewhere which have similar objectives.
- To hold at least six Study Circle meetings in a year.
- To hold at least two functions in a year.
- To establish a library for research and academic activities for our members and general public.
- The membership of DISNA is and will remain open for anybody who likes to become a member. The conditions for membership are: (a) He or she possesses literary taste, (b) expected to write articles or books on various topics/problem of the society or (c) to help the Society financially. We will welcome anybody who wants to be a member and would like to contribute in any way for the Society.
