The Plot Summary of the play King Lear opens with character description of Kent and Gloucester who both were acting as Earl in the play. They had conversations about particular things. King Lear appears before the audience who is intended to retire from his duties and responsibilities to free him. He started to brief about his division of kingdom among his three sisters.
