Tonight, we have become the Partners in Progress with Ghotki.

We offer a flat 50% scholarships to the students of the Ghotki Campus of SALU, and the sliding scale scholarships to the poor students.

This program is not funded by any organization or person. It is solely funded and run by my own meager resources.

The SYDC announces the start of its first batch of classes on the Ghotki Campus of Shah Abdul Latif University, on April 23, 2018.

These classes are organized under the supervision of Sir Aijaz Ali Abro, from Baltimore, U.S.A.

Sardar Ali Muhammed Khan Mahar, the former Chief Minister of Sindh, and MNA, has graciously agreed to inaugurate the SYDC classes on the Ghotki Campus.

Admissions in the following classes will begin from April 9, 2018:

Conversational English (Communication),
IBP Banking Certificate Program,
Computerized Accounting.

Shah Abdul Latif University will award the certificates to the participants of these courses.

SYDC will grant 50% scholarships to the Ghotki Campus students, who will participate in one of these courses.

There will be scholarships on sliding-scale for the poor and needy students.

The goal of these classes is to impart white collar job skills to the youth of the area.

Timing:
Regular Classes: 5pm to 8pm.
Ramadan Ckasses: 4pm to 6pm.

In Collaboration with Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), launches the Continuing Education and Career Counseling program at the Ghotki Campus of SALU.

The program will offer business-oriented skills development certificate courses that will enable the participants, upon completion of the courses, to compete in the open job markets. As outlined in the MOU with the SALU, the university will award the certificates to the participants of these courses at SYDC.

Initially, we will offer three-month certificate courses in the following disciplines:
Marketing Management;
Sales Management;
Human Resource Management;
Entrepreneurship;
Computers Foundation;
Communication (Conversational) English.

Our Career Development Center (CDC) will help each of our participants with the career advice in:
S.W.O.T Analysis;
C.V Writing Skills;
Job Search Skills;
Interview Skills;
Salary Negotiation Skills;
Interpersonal Skills;
Job Search Assistance for Two Years.

These courses are designed to empower the youth with knowledge and skills that will help them find the ground-floor jobs in supervisory level. The SYDC will offer these courses on Non-Profit basis for the participants who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and cannot afford the fee.

We encourage the youth from Ghotki and surrounding areas to take advantage of this golden opportunity of learning the skills to get ahead in the life.

هي ادارو اسان شاه عبداللظيف يونيورسٽيءَ جي شڪارپور ڪئمپس کان شروع ڪيو هيو. ٻن سالن جي لڳاتار ڪوششن ۽ محنت ڪرڻ کانپوءِ اسان ان نتيجي تي پهتا سي ته شڪارپور ڪئمپس تي اسان گهڻو عرصو ڪم ڪون پيا ڪري سگهون. انجا هڪ کان وڌيڪ سبب هئا، جنتي هن وقت ڳالهائڻ مناسب ڪون ٿو سمجهان. سو، شڪارپر کانپوءِ اسان ساڳيو ڪم قاسم آباد ۾ شروع ڪيو، ۽ ڪافي محنت ۽ خرچ ڪرڻ باوجود ڪا ٽيم نه ٺهي سگهڻ جيڪري قاسم آباد مان به ادارو بند ڪرڻو پيو.

هاڻي منهنجي صلاح آهي ته جيئن ته مان قاسم آباد ۾ رهان ٿو انڪري هي ادارو قاسم آباد ۾ ئي ٻيهر کولڻ وڌيڪ سئولو ٿيندو. مونکي توهان سڀني دوستن جي صلاح جي ضرورت آهي ته هي ادارو اڳتي ڪيئن وڌائجي؟ هن اداري ۾ ڪهڙي ليول تي تعليم ڏيڻ گهرجي؟ توهان سڀئي دوست هن اداري کي ٻيهر شروع ڪرڻ ۾ اسان سانجو ڪهڙو ساٿ ڏئي سگهو ٿا؟

Donating Laptop!

Donated laptop computer to a bright student of University of Sindh, Muhammad Saleem. Saleem is just completing his first semester at the university. He was in dire need of a computer to do his assignments on time and other research work. He is doing MBA in Finance from the University of Sindh. This laptop computer was donated by Mr. Iqbal Tareen from USA.

Update - Online Education:

There are hundreds of professional skills building courses that only a large established brick and mortar university could be in a position to offer to its students. The biggest challenges in offering those professional courses are the selection of curriculums, and the availability of the faculty of trained resource persons to impart those courses. Online education is the best alternative to answer that dilemma. Some of the major universities of the world are investing very heavily to include online degree programs to their catalogue of programs. Some of the biggest advantages of the online education are the opportunity to learn at your own pace without ever leaving your home, and the cost effectiveness of the courses. These courses can be degree, diploma, or certificate programs offering myriads of the subjects taught in top notch universities and colleges around the world.

I have been negotiating with two of the premium online education providers for some days now. Both of the organizations have agreed to extend their services to offer SYDC branded courses to our target audience. Initially, we will offer diploma and certificate programs in over 300 of the most popular skills building instructor led courses. I have already received a formal Agreement from one of them, and had a detailed negotiation with the other one today. Insha Allah, very soon we will start the online education programs under the banner of SYDC. We need your advice and input in this regard. Thanks.

SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur Youth Development Center, in collaboration with Shah Abdul Latif University held a simple Certificate Distribution Ceremony at the Shikarpur Campus of Shah Abdul Latif University, Thursday, October 24, 2013. Dr. Lutfullah Mangi, Director, Shikarpur Campus-Shah Abdul Latif University graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The certificates were awarded in Computer Foundation and English Language Foundation courses. Due to the transportation and other situations, some of the recipients could not make to the ceremony. We badly missed Dr. G. Raza Bhatti, Pro Vice Chancellor, Shikarpur Campus. We appreciate the support of Dr. Amanuallah Panhwar and his friends, and Mr. Ali Nawaz Memon.

Shikarpur Youth Development Center aims to cover all of the districts of Sindh.
