Recently delivered an awareness based lecture on "Antimicrobial Resistance" to a group of bright young school girls from my community.
We discussed the use and misuse of antibiotics, why completing prescribed doses is essential, and how irresponsible use can lead to emergence of resistant strains, prolonged infections that can threaten global health. The students were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and sharing their own experiences.
Raising awareness at an early age is crucial in shaping responsible health practices. I am hopeful that these young minds will carry forward the message of using antibiotics wisely and become ambassadors of change in their families and communities.

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is celebrated every year by World Health Organization (WHO). It is a global campaign to raise awareness about the use and misuse of antibiotics among the general public.
I am going to start my 2024 Chapter and play a part myself (as volunteer), to spread awareness among the locality about this serious health issue.
My aim is to encourage best practices among the general public, farmers, animal health professionals etc, to avoid misuse of antimicrobials in order to control further emergence and spread of the drug-resistant infections.

World Health Organization (WHO) has announced Internships at *Geneva-Switzerland*.
Last Date to Apply: 3 January, 2024.
Eligibility:
■ Have completed the equivalent of 3 years of full-time studies in the *Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Sciences, Business Administration, Communications, Management or Economics* at a university or equivalent institution prior to commencing the assignment.
■ Currently enrolled in a course of study at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification.
■ Applicants who have already graduated may also qualify for consideration provided that they apply to the internship within six months after completion of their formal qualification).
Duration: 24 weeks.
Start Date: 19th February 2024 (Tentative start date).
