🌱 National Dialogue on Biotechnology: Shaping Pakistan’s Climate-Resilient Future (Held on 17-12-2025 at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad🌍
Pakistan’s food system stands at a defining crossroads. Against the backdrop of climate change, water stress, and rising food insecurity, leaders from government, science, academia, and industry came together at the National Dialogue on Biotechnology, Climate Change & Food Security to chart a bold and evidence-based pathway forward.
📍 What stood out from the Dialogue?
🔹 Biotechnology is no longer optional—it is strategically indispensable for climate adaptation and sustainable agriculture
🔹 New Breeding Techniques (NBTs) and genome editing can accelerate the development of climate-resilient crops
🔹 Pakistan has strong scientific capacity—but regulatory modernization and coordinated innovation systems are critical to unlock impact
🔹 Public–private partnerships, trust, and transparent governance are key to taking science from labs to farmers’ fields
👥 The Dialogue brought together senior policymakers, leading scientists, universities, private-sector innovators, and development partners—reinforcing a shared vision: mainstreaming biotechnology into national food security and climate strategies.
📸 The images from the event reflect more than a conference—they capture a moment of national consensus, leadership, and commitment toward a resilient agricultural future.
➡️ Moving forward requires sustained collaboration, science-based regulation, and investment in human capital—so innovation translates into real benefits for farmers, consumers, and the environment.
Biotechnology is about survival. Innovation is the pathway. Collaboration is the solution.
