Our seniors attended a fundraising event for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre last night that was truly inspiring. It was amazing to see so many people come together to support a common cause, specifically Annie Khalid who participated the event.
Her presence and support helped make the event a great success, and we are truly grateful for her generosity and kindness.
The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) is a not-for-profit cancer hospital and research center located in Lahore, Pishawar and Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by former Pakistani cricketer and philanthropist, Imran Khan, in memory of his mother, Shaukat Khanum, who died of cancer.
The foundation's mission is to provide state-of-the-art cancer care, free of cost, to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. The hospital provides a range of services including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, and palliative care. It also has a research center that conducts clinical trials and research into cancer prevention and treatment.
Hence, we’re inviting you in supporting this worthy cause by making a donation to the Shaukat Khanum Foundation. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Once again a big thanks to Pakistan Community in Tasmania for organising that beautiful event.
