Dr. David Cook, President of the Australian Society for ICT in Agriculture (ASICTA) visited College of Agriculture.
During his visit, Dr. Cook toured several research laboratories, and delivered an insightful lecture titled “Agro Dynamics – Early Detection of Gall Wasp and Leaf Rust for Citrus (Lime) Using Single Overflight Frugal Agrodynamics (SOFAD).”
His visit fostered valuable discussions on innovation, digital agriculture, and international research collaboration.

Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Azhar Abbas Raja Member Syndicate UOS , Principal Ambala Muslim College and guests from Agri sister organization also graced the occasion. An awareness walk was also organized by the Deptt of Forestry, College of Agriculture.

Successful Farmer Day Held under ACIAR Citrus Value Chain Project at Chak 118 NB, Sargodha
A successful Farmer Day was held at Chak 118 NB, Sargodha under the ACIAR Citrus Value Chain Project (ACIAR/HORT/2020/129), bringing together citrus growers, rural women, and project stakeholders to share achievements and strategies to strengthen the citrus value chain.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan Ullah, Team Leader, highlighted the project’s objectives, focusing on improving citrus quality, promoting efficient marketing systems, and ensuring better returns for farmers. Dr. Luqman emphasized the importance of Farmer Day as a platform for knowledge sharing and farmer engagement. Prof. Dr. Ijaz Rasool Noorka also participated and appreciated the project’s collaborative efforts.

Department of Agronomy successfully hosted a 2-day international workshop with Dr. Anuga (Sri Lanka) as our keynote speaker 🌍🌱 Collaborations were explored with Citrus Research Institute, Fodder Research Institute, Adaptive Research Institute, Green Agri Mall, and Agriculture College Sargodha—uniting 5 institutions to tackle climate challenges faced by farmers. 💪🌾
