Weβre back from Astronomy Trip R-75 to Ranikot Fort, returning from some of the darkest skies in Pakistan! More than 150 incredible participants joined us on this journey deep into the wilderness; a beautiful blend of science, history, and pure cosmic wonder.
π Daytime Adventures:
We began by observing our closest star β the Sun β through a powerful solar telescope. Participants witnessed sunspots (the dark patches) that recently contributed to solar storms on Earth. Experiencing the Sun this closely on a warm afternoon was truly unforgettable.
π° History Walk:
Later, we explored the majestic Mirikot Fortress within the legendary Ranikot Fort. Standing inside its ancient walls felt like stepping back in time, reconnecting with centuries of history.
π Observations That Stole the Night

π Saturn and its majestic ring system, along with its moons.
Both professional and amateur astronomers stood side by side, sharing knowledge, curiosity, and wonder.
π A Special Moment
Two female astronomy enthusiasts who had been waiting six years to join one of our trips finally traveled to Karachi to experience it. Despite spending nearly Rs. 100K on a two-day, one-night journey, they described it as completely worth it. That alone says everything.
Many families and female participants personally thanked the team for providing a safe, respectful, and decent environment; something we deeply value and strive to protect in every event.
β¨ Night Sky Exploration:
We spotted satellites drifting overhead, followed by a long, immersive sky tour where participants learned constellations, star-hopping techniques, and methods to identify planets with the naked eye. Every hour, a shooting star streaked across the sky β and at one moment, a brilliant meteor exploded right in front of us, lighting up the darkness.
π Telescopic Wonders:
Everyone enjoyed spectacular views of Saturn, Jupiter, Moon, vibrant nebulae, and dense star clusters, all through our telescopes.
It was an incredible event, filled with learning, wonder, and emotion and weβre thrilled that every participant loved the experience. π
Dedicated at the historic Ranikot Fort, Sindh β and in spirit to the legacy of Muslim scientist Ibn al-Haytham, whose love for light and optics laid the foundations of modern astronomy.
