PVTC is offering a 3-Month Japanese Language (N5) Course on a self-finance basis at various VTIs.

This course builds a strong foundation in Japanese grammar, vocabulary, and everyday communication skills. Participants will learn to:

• Understand and use basic grammar
• Read and comprehend simple texts
• Write short descriptions
• Engage in day-to-day conversations
• Navigate basic Japanese websites and content

Eligibility:
• PVTC skilled graduates OR minimum SSC qualification
• Basic English understanding required

After N5, learners are encouraged to progress to N4 level, which greatly enhances job prospects in Japan and other Japanese-speaking regions.

PVTC is offering a 3-Month Korean for Beginners Course (EPS-TOPIK / TOPIK-I) on a self-finance basis at various VTIs.

This course helps learners build essential Korean language skills including grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing through practical and interactive lessons.

Participants will learn to:

• Understand basic Korean grammar and vocabulary
• Read and comprehend simple texts
• Write short descriptions and sentences
• Communicate in everyday situations such as introductions and daily routines

Eligibility:

• Basic understanding of Urdu or English

WorldSkills Competition 2026 – Participation Opportunity for Trainees

PVTC - Punjab Vocational Training Council is preparing to participate in the upcoming Competition under WorldSkills Pakistan in collaboration with National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), where talented trainees from across Pakistan showcase their technical expertise.

To identify the best candidates, conducting Organizational Level Competitions in the following trades:

• Electrical Installation
• Graphic Designing
• Cooking

Important Dates:
Gap Training: Until 8 March 2026
Organizational Competition: 10–11 March 2026

Eligibility:
• PVTC trainees from the above trades
• Age below 22 years

This competition provides an opportunity for trainees to represent PVTC at the national level and potentially compete internationally at WorldSkills 2026.

All eligible trainees are encouraged to participate and demonstrate their technical excellence.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is actively promoting youth empowerment and skilled workforce export to strengthen economic independence.

With the visionary direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab is moving towards becoming an International Skilled Manpower Hub. Concrete steps are being taken to equip youth with global-standard skills and connect them with overseas employment opportunities.

During the Prime Minister’s visit to Qatar, Chaudhry Adnan Afzal Chattha , Chairperson of the CM Punjab Task Force on Skills Development, was included in the official delegation to engage with international employers and business leaders.

The Punjab SD&ED-Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department will soon hold Meet & Greet sessions in Qatar to directly link skilled youth with global opportunities.

🌟 Strengthening Skills for Industry: Meet Khalid Masood Chowdhury

Khalid Masood Chowdhury is the Chairman of the PVTC - Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC), a leading public sector organisation working to strengthen vocational skills development in Punjab.

🏫 Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC)
Established under an Act in 1998, PVTC plays a key role in preparing a skilled workforce that supports industry growth and promotes financial independence for youth. Over the years, the organisation has trained around 1 million skilled workers across 48 trades, contributing both to the provincial economy and to remittances from overseas employment.

🔧 PVTC’s work focuses on supporting industry and helping young people, both women and men, build sustainable livelihoods. The organisation engages closely with chambers of commerce, manufacturing associations, and industry partners to ensure training remains relevant to labour market needs.

🤝 Collaboration is central to PVTC’s work. With support from GIZ, initiatives have focused on:

• Capacity building of instructors
• Gender mainstreaming and inclusivity
• Competency-based training and assessment
• Digitalisation and green skills integration
• Industry engagement and employment promotion
• Infrastructure and equipment support

🌍 Skilled graduates are contributing both locally and internationally. Many trainees have secured overseas employment, including welders recently deployed to Saudi Arabia.
