The college was established in 1963 in a rented building by a social organization “Imamia Educational Society (Regd)” on volunteer basis. A piece of land was allotted in 1967 to the college by Syed Mustafa Zaidi, known literary figure and the worthy Deputy Commissioner od Sahiwal at that time.
