First Meeting with Academic & Administrative Heads

The Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hassan, held his first meeting with the Academic and Administrative Heads and shared his vision for the progress of the University of Sahiwal.

He emphasized new academic and certification programs, University–Industry linkages, digitalization, modern laboratories, quality teaching, and practical student exposure. The Department of Applied Psychology successfully conducted a seminar in observance of Su***de Awareness Month under the theme:

"تم اہم ہو، تمہاری زندگی بھی"
"You matter, your life matters too."

The session brought together students and faculty members to discuss the importance of mental health awareness, su***de prevention, emotional well-being, and the value of seeking support when needed.We are grateful to all participants for their active engagement and meaningful contributions. Such discussions help create a more compassionate, supportive, and understanding community where mental health is recognized as a shared responsibility.

Faculty Meeting Held at the Department of Business Administration

As semester activities commenced, the Department of Business Administration, University of Sahiwal, organized a faculty meeting with the participation of both Regular and Part-Time Faculty Members to ensure effective academic planning and smooth implementation of semester activities.

The meeting was conducted by Dr. Ammara Saleem, Assistant Professor, who led a comprehensive discussion on course outlines, uniformity in course delivery, activity-based learning, assessment practices, academic discipline, teaching quality, and faculty counselling hours. Faculty members actively participated in the discussion and shared valuable suggestions for the effective implementation of the agreed academic practices.

The meeting was concluded by Dr. Husnain, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration, who endorsed the discussed points and emphasized that strict compliance with the agreed academic requirements and departmental decisions is mandatory for all faculty members. He further stressed the importance of consistency in course delivery, quality teaching, timely completion of courses, transparent and proper assessment, and maintenance of academic discipline.

The meeting reflected the department’s commitment to academic excellence, effective teaching practices, student support, and continuous improvement in the quality of education at the University of Sahiwal.
