Thousands Compete for Admission as DUET Conducts Entry Test 2026
3,806 Candidates Appear for 1,495 Seats Across 16 Disciplines at Karachi and Sukkur with 91% Attendance
Karachi, July 12, 2026: Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) conducted its Entry Test 2026 today for admission to Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Technology & Management, and Bachelor of Architecture programs.
The test was held simultaneously at two centers: IBA Main Campus, Karachi and Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur. IBA Testing Services Karachi conducted the test in morning and afternoon shifts for DUET’s Jinnah Campus, CEMET Sukkur, and the Faculty of Information & Computing Sciences, Gulberg Town, Karachi.
A total of 4,174 candidates registered for 1,495 seats across 16 disciplines. 3,806 candidates appeared, reflecting an impressive 91.09% attendance. Female candidates made up 24.62% of applicants, showing strong and growing participation of women in engineering, science, technology, and architecture.
Candidates represented diverse educational boards across Pakistan. The highest participation was from BISE Karachi: 2,218, followed by BISE Mirpurkhas: 392, BISE Hyderabad: 311, BISE Sukkur: 283, BISE Shaheed Benazirabad: 189, BISE Larkana: 185, Ziauddin Examination Board: 183, AJK Board Mirpurkhas: 84, Sindh Board of Technical Education: 62, Cambridge International: 44, and BISE Quetta: 18.
DUET ensured a transparent, efficient, and technology-driven process with air-conditioned halls, shuttle services, and QR code-based electronic attendance.
Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Samreen Hussain (S.I., T.I.), Registrar Prof. Dr. Syed Asif Ali Shah, along with senior officials including Dr. Faraz Ahmed, Convener Admission Committee Dr. Ayaz Ali Shah, Dr. Tasneem Zahra, Engr. Fahd Iqbal, Babar Riaz, and Dr. Saddam Ali Khichi oversaw the test activities @ Karachi centre. Dr. Abdul Waheed Bhutto Director CEMET, Dr. Atif Jamil , Dean FoI&CS and Arch. Salman Mateen member Admission Committee supervised the Entry test at Sukkur centre.
Parents and candidates appreciated the university’s arrangements, reaffirming DUET’s commitment to excellence in admissions and education.
