A large number of students are deprived of education in Pakistan and after a recent report that was published by UNESCO the numbers have raised to the figure of millions. Some 5.5 million children are deprived of basic right and are not able to attend schools in Pakistan. This was read in a recent article

It is really sad and gloomy to see that even after more than half a century Pakistan still in the developing phase and to add more was is more lamenting is the fact that our neighbors who got their independence with us or even those who were given the rights of independence after us, are making progress in education and have as much as 80-90% literacy rate where as Pakistan remains a troublesome state with alarming educational and literacy rates. It was such a sad part to read that Pakistan was the second highest country with the highest number of illiterate children and third highest in world in adult illiteracy after India and China. This is something very worrying and troublesome and should be of prime concerns to our local government representatives but what one see is lavish lifestyle by these leaders with no sense of taking initiatives and curbing the worsening situation. The report further highlighted the loopholes and the impending doom of the educational system in Pakistan and made some very horrifying predictions based on present data and findings. There are around 21 countries that are termed as suffering from learning deficiency and Pakistan is sadly one of those countries. Pakistan scored low on almost all the education related factors such as academics results, school dropout, admissions and so and so on
