Hijr Ismail is situated in the northwestern part of the Holy Kabah. It is a semi-circular area marked by a low 4-foot 4-inch tall and 2-foot 11-inches wide wall outside the sacred House of Allah SWT.

Even though Hijr Ismail isn’t directly connected to the Sacred Kabah, this three-metre-wide crescent-shaped area is considered a part of the Kabah.

Umrah refers to paying a visit to the Holy Kabah for the performance of the lesser pilgrimage in Makkah. It is an act of worship based on the teachings of Allah’s Prophet (SAW). As opposed to Hajj, the greater pilgrimage, which is performed during the specified days of Dhul Hijjah, Umrah can be performed any time during the year.

Imam Sharaf-Ad-Din Busiri رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ quotes in his Qasidatul Burdah about the excellence of the sacred sand of Madina Munawwarah:

‎لا طِيْبَ يَعْــدِلُ تُرْبـًا ضَمَّ أعْظُمَهُ
طُوْبٰى لِمُنْتَشِـقٍ مِّنْـــهُ وَمُـلْتَثِـمِ

There is no better Dust in this Entire Universe, than the Dust that the Sacred Body of Sayyidunah Rasoolallah ﷺ has touched.
Glad Tidings to those lucky ones, who have smelt and kissed this Sacred Dust.

Iman in The Hereafter

The Trumpet Is Blown

It will be a Friday. The deafening sound of Isrāfīl (ʿalayhis-salām) blowing the Trumpet will fill the air, and the entire earth will shake violently and be reduced to rubble. The mountains will be crushed into dust and will become like fluffed up wool. The oceans will burst forth and overflow.

The sky will be shaken violently and it will tear open. The sun will be folded up, the stars will fall down; and they will all lose their light. The world will come to an end. Everyone and everything will be destroyed. It will be a terrifying day.

The trumpet will be blown again. The earth will crack open and everyone will be brought back to life: they will be resurrected from their graves and will be gathered on a vast, empty land.
