The visit provided an excellent opportunity for international collaboration, knowledge exchange, global education pathways and professional opportunities for Pakistani students and professionals.

COTHM Rawalpindi proudly conducted a specialized training session for our student participants preparing for PICC 2027, as part of the Corporate Office–COTHM Global Training Outline for the Individual Student Category.

The session was conducted by Chef Lumbertus Gomes, Head of Department – Culinary Arts, COTHM Global Corporate Office, providing valuable professional guidance, technical insights, and competition-focused learning to help our students prepare with confidence and skill.

We were deeply honored to welcome Her Excellency Ina Lepel, Ambassador of Germany to Pakistan, whose presence added a significant international dimension to the gathering and reflected the importance of strengthening Pakistan-Germany cooperation in education, tourism, professional training and human resource development.

The distinguished gathering also included Socrat Aman Rana, Secretary, Tourism, Archaeology & Museums Department, Government of Punjab; Rana Aftab, Managing Director, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC); Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor, University of the Punjab; and Klaus Kreutz, International Tourism Trainer and Former GIZ/CIM Tourism Expert.

The presence of such prominent personalities created a valuable platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration among government, academia, international development expertise and the tourism and hospitality education sector.

The discussions highlighted the enormous potential of Pakistan as a tourism destination and the importance of developing a highly skilled, professionally trained and internationally competitive workforce. From tourism education and hospitality training to sustainable tourism, international standards, industry-academia linkages and global exposure, the gathering underscored the need for collective efforts to unlock Pakistan’s tourism potential.
