Objective promotion of Kashmir Cause in its true and irrefutable perspective, domestically and globally. Forge intellectual consensus both at home and abroad, and let it not suffer due to various unfavourable situations be they at home or abroad.
KPI would act as a platform for the one-point coordination of the people of All Jammu and Kashmir from all walks of life. This informed coordination will help forming educated socio-political opinions at the public level. The Policy Institute will keep conducting studies in Kashmir to monitor various social indicators i.e. religious, political, econimic and social trends; people-state relationship, state-world bonding and demographic studies according to the societal knit of the state etc. KPI will develop policies which may be used by all / any e.g. Government, Public Institutions, International think tanks etc. The studies will be made available easily on the web and would also be published. The Organization will maintain a resource centre comprising of all / any relevant issues from civilian casualties across the Cease Fire Line to vital statistics of economics and trends of international politics. The Institution will also encourage fresh thinking and approach that may lead to peaceful resolution of the problem - agreeable by all parties in keeping with the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. KPI envisages its role beyond being a mere Kashmir think tank. It will set to foster ties to bring close together the people of the two sides across the Cease Fire Line and work for the Unification of Kashmir, Laying stress on the exercise of Right of Self Determination as laid down in the UN Resolutions. The Institute will impartially monitor areas of International concern on both sides of the Cease Fire Line e.g. human rights, women rights, child labour, political / religious freedom, status of civil liberties,state legislation affecting subjects lives etc. The important factor in KPI's Progressive Thinking would have a strong bearing on the political eduation of the people of the two sides across the Cease Fire Line, taking into consideration their mutual understanding for an amicable solution of the core issue. To achieve this objective, it is imperative to take along the mainstream of the politico-social fabric comprising of established political / social parties and marginalized groups consisting of nationalist groups and religious minorities. KPI would zealously focus on developing constructive international relations with international organizations and institutes of similar standing all over the world, without prejudice of religion or political system. The Society shall confine its activites only to the objectives of the society as set forth in this Constitution and the income and property of the Society from whatever source derived shall be applied solely towards the promotion of its objectives. No part of tis earinings or net income shall incur to the benefit of any individual, and no officer, member, or employee of the Society shall receive or be entitled to receive any pecuniary profit from the operation thereof. And generally to do and perform all such other acts and things as may be incidental or conducive and necessary to the attainment of the above objectives, or any of them.
